Old Dragon V Wolves and Wildcats Challenge
« Thread Started on Jan 8, 2009, 11:16am »

I need a challenge, so aim to try and make items for the Rolling F & Sale that will take the total number up to FG200 by the end of the month - and I'll bet £25's worth of items to a rescue that the efforts of the Wolves and Wildcats to sell things faster than I can make them, fill in any sold gaps and increase to number available can't stop me! ;D

All the teams have to do is to work together to spread the word and help to sell the items listed in the F & G sale.

However, the teams need to amend this post to show which team claims particular sales, and the TEAM that can claim the most IF they jointly beat me, gets to choose which rescue receives the prize, and to pick from the sale which items the nominated rescue will receive, up to £25 value.

Dorian's Independent Teams Claims... 53 +2 Items

Don't forget anyone not in a team can add their purchases to mine. Just say add to independents when making your purchase, plus if ten or more items are added to my list I will donate a coat to Rescue Remedies. Thank you Joedee for adding 10 items to my list, just off to pick a coat.

Sorry, Dorian... By all means I'll add a team of 'Independents', being one myself, and challenging all-comers here, feel free to risk being a team of 'one' too. ;D Nothing like a good challenge, eh? It keeps me going... so I'd best get back to my sewing machine very soon to get a head start on you all. ;D (Murphy permitting, I hope to spend this weekend trying to ensure I'm in with a chance of beating you all. ;)

Will be adding more items to the sale later tonight, but so far not had a very productive day. Too many interuptions, a trip to get feed, one to the PO and to tax my car at last, as well as post parcels out, plus tomorrow I must get into town to the bank and pay in what few cheques we have had in this last week... Also have to clean out the horses water troughs, as those are all dry, hence they've been having to drink from the river. Lazy devils don't like walking all the way down there unless they can help it, but we have rain forecast for Sunday, so must do the troughs...

Have now added somewhere for Dorian's independents' team to list their sales, but please remember, every team needs a rep to modify the first post to record their sales. ??? I am sure all can be relied upon not to cheat ;) because you can bet the other teams will soon spot it anyway.

Just for the record, IF I beat you all, then I'll pick a rescue to send a parcel of goodies to, so whoever wins, a rescue will benefit, too. ???

Kerrie, as a Wolf Team Member, any purchases made by you during January can count towards your team's score. ??? The teams will, however, need to get themselves organised... and so will I if I'm to beat you all. ;D

I hope that you are all busy planning your strategy, but being as both the Wolves and the Wildcats have a particular advantage or two, I think that, to be fair to Dorian, I'll have to give him an advantage, too, and will discuss the options with him later, perhaps.

Up the Indies! (Independents, okay? ;D )

Oh,and I am almost up to 130 items now, and none of you have got off the mark, yet... ::)

I see on the forum that Rescue Remedies is in desperate need of dog coats, so I will up the stakes a bit and, for every four coats each team manages to sell, I'll send one in that team's name to Rescue Remedies, so for the sake of those cold dogs, come on, please get selling and spreading the word! ;)

Have added some more coats to the sale tonight, but I can't do it all and sew coats - besides, I have a challenge to win... ;D

I've put Kerrie's pack of collars down for the Wolves and so that you can all see what I envisage. However, if you can list the coats together, and above any other items you are claiming, we'll be able to see at a glance how many there are, so that we can work out how many can be donated to RR. ???

Don't forget to record any items sold, Wolves and Wildcats... And you may want to decide on some sales tactics, or perhaps join forces to word a mass email to members, so that Rescue Remedies can get the best out of this?

If you can't modify the post to do that, then I'll have to 'demote' you to a staff position of slavery, Sue, then you will be able to... Let me know.???

(Perhaps it is time we appointed som team captains?)
