Don't forget to try and recruit some extra team members ready for the next Apprentice Task, teams. Each team should have at least one member able to email all members, btw. If you don't, please let me know, so that that can be addressed and corrected.

You really need to buy a Wildcat e-book, it's bigger for a start and also those evil Wolves have pinched a Wildcat team member, they will be in trouble with the Police for kidnapping if we can't win our team member back Go on, buy a wildcat book, or even one of each if you really want

We were GIVEN the wildcat because he was dithering around. We did NOT kidnap anybody. And as opposed to the naughty (not to say evil) wildcats, we don't go around telling porkies, either! And of course buying a WOLVES e-book is what a wolf would do. Mostly because it's very very good - tried and tested!!! Not so (yet, at least) the wildcats' recipes since Viv doesn't even know how to cook cabbage, let alone baking tasty and healthy dog treats! (Not that I can cook or bake, but my OH does - and he makes treats for the dogs every week!)

Er... I do believe that no one has actually answered Kathy's question as to what she has to do! But seriously, I daresay Jutta will send you a PM, Kathy, so that Evil Edna can't read your private discussions. Goodness knows what the teams will make of the next task? Details of that will be posted tomorrow evening. I think I might even post it in a separate thread, so nobody misses it amongst the chat in here. ;D

I really must compliment both teams on the effort they have put into this challenge task and how much it has helped the postage fund for rescues, which, as you know, reached a critical point very recently and briefly slipped into the red. We are not out of the woods yet, but a proportion of whatever is raised for the next challenge will also be applied towards that fund and rest used toward paying for some fittings & materials needed for the production of the items that the teams will be challenged to market. Perhaps the teams wold like to update the details of their team members for the task, and also note the specific skills or aspects of interest their members have? That might prove useful. (Hint, hint!)

Jazz? Jakeysmum? Are you willing to 'play' with Dray, KathyW and moi? Are there any other wolves out there (or independent peeps) that would like to help us? I think we might need some advertising genius and I'm afraid that's not one of my talents! WOLVES - HELP, PLEASE!!!For both teams: If you have any links to "Euro-lands" - do try to advertise there with the next challenge. Due to the strong Euro, TRPD products are now at last quite good value 'over there', too! And at the very least Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France have a very strong animal rescue 'mentality', so quite a few people might just like the idea of buying where all proceeds will help animals in need! (That's why I got to sell the treat booklet in Germany! )

Please remember that if you are going to sell items that need to be posted to Europe, then you will need to allow extra for the postage.

Apprentice Challenge - Task 2.Periodically, a member of the group requests an item be made up to their specifications, and because they are unable to obtain the item elsewhere or have designed something to fulfil a need. (These we usually name for the member responsible – e.g. the ‘Bev of Bridlington Training lead.) Some of these items could well have much wider appeal and if packaged and marketed to a wider client base. The second task for the Apprentice teams is therefore to design a packaging label that can be printed and attached to the plastic, self-seal envelopes that the products named below are packed in, and to prepare a written marketing presentation for the products they are representing. They will then use their skills to introduce the product to a targeted market.
The winning team will be the one that sells the greater value of their products by 10.00 pm on Sunday, .28th June. (The time for Task 2 has been extended in consideration of those members taking exams of celebrating the Summer Solstice.)The team that has won the first task will have first choice of the following two products… The 'Armargos Padded Sighthound House Collar' – these come in a variety of colours of webbing including: red, black, royal blue, navy, brown, orange, forest green, emerald green, olive green, yellow, pink, purple, lilac, lavender and fawn - and lengths (measured between the rings) from 12” to 18”, with wide and contrasting colour, sherpa fleece padding for comfort. (Price: £3.75p each OR 3 for £10.00p OR a pack of 10 assorted size/colour collars for £30.00p.)
And
'The Reclaimingrebus Dog Walking Belt' – These are made from 1" wide, comfort webbing and are adjustable up to 36" waist as standard (other sizes can be made to order) and have a clip fitting and two fitted 'D' rings to attach leads, clip car keys or, perhaps, a treat bag onto. Colour choices include: red, black, royal blue, navy, brown, forest green, yellow, pink, lilac and lavender blue. (Price: £7.00p each OR 3 for £20.00 OR a pack of 10 assorted colours for £60.00p.)EACH team may also select ONE additional TRPD product that we are able to produce easily and in quantities (having checked that with me first to be on the safe side) that they will also design a packaging label for and market by taking orders.I would suggest that searching the forum should bring up some details of the uses and benefits of both of these products. (Or contact Sheena (Armargos) & Elaine (Reclaimingrebus, who will no doubt extol on their virtues. ) I suggest that the two products are sold in a special ‘Apprentice Promotion’ Sales thread, similar to the regular sales threads, and where we can keep track of them easily. I will list the ones available there, but you can take orders, and while stocks of the materials last. Please post a picture of your product labels in the thread when ready. Good luck, teams… I am now off to do my manufacturing bit, in anticipation of you both generating lots of sales! ;D (Nothing like a TEAM effort, is there?)

When the final results for the first task are known at midnight, please can the teams' leaders let me know HERE which products they will be representing for the 2nd task. I'll then be able to prepare an 'Apprentice Challenge Sales' thread, so that you can start taking orders, and I get sewing. ;D Thanks.

Right, then, it has now passed midnight with no further sales of e-books recorded, therefore the points for the first challenge are as follows... Wolves: 54 points
Wildcats: 48 points.I therefore declare the WOLVES the winners of the first Apprentice Challenge task. They may now choose one member of the Wildcats - but not the project leader for Task two, who will be Murtle - to play for them during the 2nd task, details of which have already been posted. The Wolves may also have first choice of the products they wish to select for the second task. Remember, you have TWO WEEKS for Task 2, but don't let the grass grow under your feet, teams! As soon as you design the labels, I can get packing! (Well, as soon as the new supplies of plastic bags arrive, anyway, as we have run out!)
