After my bath last night, I decided to try out the scales again, having been going flat out the last few days, I was curious to see if it had made any difference at all? The scales read... 14st 0.8lbs! Still creeping down slowly, it seems! Of course, anything can happen, and in either direction between now and Christmas morning, but my next target has to be to crack the under 14 st mark! Any new members or others who've not yet entered, please feel free to have a go at this challenge and try to guess what my weight might be on Christmas morning? It costs nothing, and if correct or closest, you could win a nice parcel of New Year goodies for your favourite rescue.

Just a quick update... Weighed last night, and the scales read 13.13.8lbs! Still, slowly going in the right direction!

I think it is down to spreading the lorry loads of bark chips onto the LT car park! That and mucking Merlyn out, but my back is really starting to kick off now!

Climed on the scales this morning, as required and... (no, didn't quite break them)... ... The result was: 13st 11.4lbs. Still going in the right direction, albeit very slowly! I will leave a better brain than mine to work out who has guessed the nearest, and therefore wins the prize.

The more the merrier, Elaine. I think my family and friends are trying to sabotage my efforts here... that to the tune of: 2 x tins of chocolate biscuits; 2 x boxes Scottish all butter shortbread biscuits; 2 x boxes of chocolates; 1 x mug and sachets of luxury driking chocolate (with sugar in, which I never take anyway); 2 x tubs of Pringles, plus a packet of cashew nuts - which I admit to have been unable to resist already! However, I did resist eating a pudding after a small, roast beef & veg lunch, which I preferred to turkey etc., and I walked down to LT. (Well, the road is still too icy for the car to cope anyway. ) I will likely be walking there and back again tomorrow, so aim to indulge myself with scampi, peas and chips with tartare sauce, and while all the rest of the family are facing their second dose of what could be a week of turkey. ;D
