Hi everyone, I thought I would start a thread so that we can all see each other dog's and coo, aww and oooo over them, I will start off with my Lurcher pup 'Yaygo', he is a rescue that I just fell across on an internet site and it was quite clear that he had not had the best of treatment, he was as thin as a rake, very hand shy and was used to lying in his own wee's and pooh's ? so I think he must have been locked in somewhere , anyway I got him at 8 weeks old (confirmed by vet) was told by the folk I got him off that his Dam was a Bedlington and Sire a Whippet x Lurcher, now as you hopefully will see in the photo's he is Whippet size now and is still only 5mth's old , so what on earth the Sire was I don't think it had much Whippet in it , I would appreciate thoughts as to what you think his Lurcher Sire could have been . So here we go hopefully there should be a photo of Yaygo . Hope this thread takes off it will be so nice to see everyones doglet's. Love and Light Viv and the Dog's. x Attachments:

This is Scampi's head, and he is a mix of Bedlington/whippet on one side and collie/greyhound on the other. Yaygo's head has a very terrier-ish look. A bit like a Lakeland terrier, perhaps? Attachments:

Aww 'Scampi' is really cute , I can see what you mean with Yaygo maybe having Lakeland terrier in his lines somewhere and he does have a wider muzzle than your 'Scampi'. It is going to be great watching Yaygo change as he grows , anyone else anymore idea's. More dog's please . Love and Light Viv and the Dog's. x Attachments:

YAY, great to see that people are now putting photo's of their dog's on for all to see . I was watching 5 Springer's doing some gundog training on Sunday Florrie , I think they are a lovely dog, your 2 are lovely, good to hear that people are rescuing Springers too, they are such a lively breed. Oh Whispermum, you can see the Saluki in Morgan what a beauty , adore your whippet ( I went out on Sunday with 7 whippets, 2 Staffies and Yaygo ) , I can not see much of a cross in Kella maybe you have to be there to notice it, have to admit you have a super doggie clan . I will put a photo on of all 4 of mine later but here is Yaygo out with his new friends on Sunday ( the blue whippet with the yellow collar is Yaygos' best friend 'Nevile') Please, please keep the photo's coming, I adore dog's and I feel as though I am getting to know people better too. Not me in the photo by the way, it is the lass and her partner who own the Whippet crew.

Hey 2 sweeties there, whippet x staff seems to make a nice cross is 'Chilli' the size of a whippet or is she more staffy size ?, as for 'Mooch' just lovely, sure I can see a teenie bit of collie in there ?, could be way out though knowing me, did you get them both as pup's or are they rescues?, nosey me . Thanks for putting your dog's photo's on it really is nice to see them and I notice that 'Mooch' is styling what looks like a TRPD collar and lead set too . Love and Light Viv and the Dog's. x

I'd say there was some hound in Mooch - perhaps beagle?

Chilli is pretty much whippet shaped but with slightly shorter legs and a much bigger and shorter neck. The top of her head is more of a broader Staff head but then she has a skinny Whippetty muzzle.
We definitely think there is hound in Mooch beagle is something we have thought of or foxhound - her head definitely points that way with her ears and she is a very sniffy dog. As for Collie is certainly possible as she is very clever, maybe some Lab for her temperament, her stubbornness makes me think there might be some Saluki and would explain her skinny waist too.
They are both rescues Mooch we got aged 7 months and Chilli we got when she was around a year old. Mooch is going to be 3 on Saturday and Chilli was 2 a couple of months ago.
And yes Mooch is indeed wearing her TRPD harness with matching martingale collar and Chilli has a TRPD martingale on too - only the best for my girls ;D

Oh Lisa what gorgeous dog's, I am starting to think I have been in the wrong breed all along , I adore all my dog's but I am having such a great time seeing all of your dog's and to see all of these whippets and lurchers is just awesome, they are all so different but just so sweet looking . I think they are such a special breed, Please, please keep the photo's coming, sorry for the late reply but trying to get Yaygos' coats sorted out . My little Yaygo is a fawn as you know but he is now getting blue/grey stripes and they look pretty cool . Love and Light Viv and the Dog's. x

I think Mooch may be 'just' a Foxhound x Staffie - there is one in the neighbourhood here (lovely old dog!) and they look very much alike!

Just adore Dicker and Baine, so nice to see rescues on site, looking good for their ages too, I think rescue dog's appreciate all you give them the bond seems so strong, it is as if they know you have helped them out . Hey Billy looks like my friends Whippet (he is called Nevile) I think Billy is a bit lighter blue than Nev but it could be the sun on his coat making him look a teenie bit lighter, I will try and get a photo of Nevile on here I do have some of him, Nevile is Yaygos' best buddy, I can imagine the confusion if he saw 2 what he thought was 2 Neviles' . Thanks for adding your photo's and keep them coming everyone please . Love and Light Viv and the Dog's. x
