Wow some gorgeous dog's crept on in my absence , what beauties they all are, it really is so nice to see people showing off their dog's be them rescue or pedigree. I just adore Irish Water Spaniels and you don't see many of them around these days which is a shame, the rest of your clan is great too Rosalyn, nice mixes too, shame about the fall out the other day but it does happen, my eldest kelpie falls out with my old collie quite a few times but I step in and calm the situation down, they always keep an eye on each other though . Really like the photo of the Cavvy on the beach with the wind blowing her ears back, soooo cute. As for Casey and Phobie such a sweet photo, the proud Casey resting her head on Phobie and not in an aggresive way at all, just resting her head chillin out with her new buddie , then the wonderful Emmy and Martha, 2 stunners with you there, I am not too good at guessing what lurchers are crossed with but Martha does look as though she has some Saluki in her somewhere , mind you as I have said before on this thread I don't know what the mix of Yaygos' dad was and I keep asking folk have they any idea but no one has come up with anything yet so maybe his Sire is going to remain a mystery, might get more of an idea when he has finished his growing, at 7 months I am still struggling as to what daddy could have been, all I know is he was a lurcher, I love Yaygo no matter what his lurcher dad was so no problem anyway, Yaygo is my hairy lurcher that makes me laugh every day, I love him to pieces and that is what counts with me and all of my doggie clan, just could not resist putting on this photo of my mystery lurcher he was in a mega scruff mode and I think the photo say's it all. Presumably your wee guys have come from KC breeders and that's why they weren't used to dogs of other breeds? Must have been a shock for them to find out that not all dogs looked like them! Yes, all three are from the same KC breeder. Dolly was too small to breed with, Poppy had one litter but produced 2 boys (1 unfortunately didn't make it) and Rebus was a show dog that lost interest. So they are all having loads of fun and love and TLC with me My little babies, I love them to bits. I think because they didn't know what other dogs looked like has made them all more social with other dogs and maybe a bit too trusting, apart from the bigger dogs that Rebus finds a bit scary. Dolly will approach anything on 4 legs. They are also fabulous with cats having never seen them before either. I think I'm very lucky, although I'm sure they thank me in their own ways for the luxuries they have like sleeping on (taking over) MY bed lol. And yes, they are a very intelligent breed. Dolly doesn't miss a trick and only has to hear our neighbours talking about camping and thats it, she's off in a tizzy, wanting to go camping lol. I would like to get into agility with both Rebus and Dolly, they have the speed, intelligence and ability - unfortunately though, I no longer have the speed or ability due to disability. I would have a houseful of cavvies given the chance, but my three are very very special to me and they all came to me at different significant stages of my life and helped me immensely.

So fingers crossed these piccies work! These are my Beagles (Alf is a houndy type beagle... as a rescue we are not 100%) Peggy is a 5 year old tri colour beagle, and Alf is the newest addition, 20 months old and from the pound, he's been sadly neglected, but is making up for it now! Do you think the latest craze in wall lights will catch on?

Lovely photos, although, as you say, Alf is extremely houndy, and not very like a beagle at all. In fact, he looks much more like a foxhound, bless him! Does he sing like one? ;D

Yes! He does bark a bit, mainly when he is playing as he gets very excitable...but he has really really horrendous separation anxiety, and will howl and bark the whole house down if left, it is something we really will have to work on, but he still follows me to the bathroom, so it's going to be very slow... he rarely howls other than that. Peggy the other beagle rarely makes any noise, that would mean she'd have to expend energy, not something she does by choice! snoring is the most noise you are likely to hear from her.

Aww nice Beagles you have there, although I agree with Al that Alf looks very much like a Foxhound, hey still a beauty though , I sometimes come across a Beagle when out on my walks and my lurcher pup and my friends whippet love nothing better than having it chase round after them and WOW what a noise 'Baxter' the Beagle makes when he can't catch up with them . he has a great time . Today 'Baxter' had a new Beagle friend with him a sweet pup named 'Poppy' she was only 4mths old but soon got the courage up to join in the chasing fun so a really good time was had by all. Regarding the problem with the seperation anxiety you are having, have you heard or tried a DAP unit ?, they give out the pheromones that a pup would get from it's mum when it was a pup and from what I have heard about them from vet's they are meant to work really well, just a thought and maybe worth a try. Ahh, I see you did get your photo's on here Claire and dumbo me with the great memory forgot all about it , well it does not hurt again to say what lovely dog's they both are and gosh I would certainly say foxhound for 'Alf' , repeating myself here I know but the photo's seem to have stopped coming in all of a sudden and it was running so nicely too , so come on TRPD supporters and members, lets see your dog's, there must be so many that have not been placed on here yet and I truly would like to seem your dog's, dog's are just the best thing ever, they only ever ask for love, cuddles, affection and of course food and excercise and do they ever judge us the owners ?, NO they don't which has just got to be 100% credit to them, what wonderful animals dog's are. So a HUGE HINT, HINT from me for some more photo's please. Love and Light Viv and the Dog's. x P.S. Got to put a photo of Yaygo on again now because he is growing into such a lovely chap ( in my eyes anyway) Yaygo with his best friend Nevile the Whippet. Attachments:

Hi viv, thanks for your lovely comments.
No idea what's in Jess as she was picked up off the streets.Definately saluki in there she's got all the traits,I think theres collie in there somewhere and i'm always being asked if she's got doberman in her.
As for Lester he is 22" tall.

No with those floppy lugs she's got to be Saluki cross! Lester is a great size, when we're ready for a second dog we want one about large whippet size.

This is my old girl Skye who I saw at 3 hours old and collected at 5 weeks. She's nearly 12 now. This is Sluke the day we caught her - after 9 months of running loose & a month to trap her This is Sluke in this years snow - she ended up staying with me This is Tigger- my Tiger from Dogs Trust. Thankfully Sluke loves him and they play all day together

Firstly ever so sorry for the late reply on your dog's Tracyb, they really are all lovely in their own right, each one oozes character and they are all such bonny looking dog's too, have to admit though I have fallen for Sluke big time.
