Robins are very territorial, Jutta, so you are unlikely to have more than a pair of those.
Regarding owls, I'd suggest you run a search on the BBC wildlife website, as I am sure I have seen something there about owl boxes. It is a bit late to put up boxes now for owls, as they seem to dislike things 'new' in an area, but if put up now they might use them this year, but more likely next. You already probably have owls in the vicinity anyway. Try listening at night for them. Veronica could here at least four calling last night, and that in the vicinity of her home, which has quite a lot of trees nearby.

Thanks, Alison and Nicki! Looks like we might have 2 pairs of Robins (the Dickerfield would be big enough according to the RSPB-Website). I'll see what we can do about encouraging owls to visit us! We'll try! I hope that when "moneypenny" visits us in April I'll at last have some decent photos of the place to show you - and Heinz might even be able with his camera to take some piccies of all those birds. I've tried quite a few times, but my camera just isn't good enough
