Haven't heard a cuckoo yet this year - but I have seen wrens at the field and also a willow warbler.

We have babies. I just refilled the fat ball feeder hanging from the apple tree and heard cheeping from the nest box on the tree. I think it is blue tits, but will have to keep an eye when I have time. Good choice of nest box though with a fat ball feeder and a seed feeder hung so close they will have very well-fed chicks. No sounds from the other two nest boxes, so maybe I should relocate them before next spring.

Loads of birds in our garden, blackbirds, sparrows, pigeons etc but we don't feed them because Jess chases them and quite a few cats around.

I actually saw a sparrow today! They are becoming a very rare sight around here, and I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a dunnock! It was feeding on one of the feeders with a couple of great tits.
I haven't seen the long-tailed tits lately, though. Not seen much of the wagtails, either. I expect the latter are nesting somewhere nearer the river, and not venturing up onto the car park as much.
