Hi, How much would a padded harness for a greyhound cost and how could I order one please? Also are they escape-proof?
Thanks.

Firstly, the 'escape-proof' harnesses are a different design to the padded chest ones, and similar to the trail harnesses but with an extra strap that fits behind the ribcage but only acts against that in the even of the dog trying to pull backwards and slip its harness. The normal, padded chest greyhound ones will be available soon via the sales thread and in various colours and sizes. We am just awaiting delivery of one of the fittings needed to make more of thesee and other harnesses up.

Hi, I'm still looking for a padded greyhound harness but havent seen one yet on the sales page. Will they be on the sales page soon? Or maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Thanks. Amanda

Hi Thanks for the reply. How do I measure up? Is is around the deepest part of the chest and then around the neck? She is a small greyhound so I suppose the neck measurement would be around the bottom of the neck and not around the ears as per the normal greyhound collar area. Have I lost you?! ;D (I think I'm making this complicated). A red one would be nice but any colour really. What are the colour options? Also, are they very padded as she is skinny and as bald as a coot underneath? Thanks. Amanda

Yes, that's how to measure. Red will be fine, but easier to think of a colour and ask than for me to list all the options! At the last count we had 17 webbing colours available. They should be sufficiently padded for a thin-coated hound.

Hi Al, I've just measured up Jo-Jo. Measurements are: Collar at base of neck 15.5" or 39.5 cms Just behind front legs (deepest part of chest) 27" or 68 cm. Are they a bit adjustable? Colour ideas: Red and another colour/s or even rainbow. She is black so bear in mind we could jazz her up a bit! Her house collar is red but if you've got loads of pink or purple (my favourites) it would be a good reason to buy yet another housecollar! In other words you can surprise us with the colour. I don't mind paying extra for more padding or whatever you think is best as she is still a bit skinny and baldy underneath. Please let me know the cost and I will post a cheque straight away. (Mail is a bit iffy at the mo though with the strike). We have a Paypal account but not Nochex. (Let me know if you do Paypal). Thanks very much. Amanda and Jo-Jo.

Hi, Is there any news yet on the harness?

I have just made up some red harnesses, including a 24" chest escape-proof one in red that someone ordered, and some red padded chest ones in various sizes, which are not necessarily escape proof, if a dog has the habit of struggling and pulling backwards.
For a 27" chest dog, I would recommend having a 28" chest, to allow a bit of adjustment or for fitting over a coat. Some are decorated with braid, others plain. There is a 28" in both types. Please let me know which you prefer. Thanks.

Could I bag the padded 28" one in red with the braid please. (The jazzier the better). Please advise of cost and I will send a cheque tomorrow. (You dont do PAYPAL do you?)
Thanks a lot. ;D

I will add them to the list of things to make, but really cannot promise this side of Christmas, Rachel. Will do my best. The harnesses on their own and in this size are £8.50p each or £12.00 each with matching leads. Please note, everyone: No more orders for things that have to be made in time Christmas can be accepted or promised now, sorry.

Thank you so much for the harnesses, they have arrived safely today. I need the dogs upright though before I can try them on, but they are beautifully padded
