Not sure if this counts, "recycled" rather than rescued - rehomed from her breeder {former show/breeding dog} at the age of 6. Sadly developed epilepsy and had to be euthanised aged 8 due to status epilepticus. The seizures caused her to be so hungry all the time, she wouldn't sleep for more than 2 hours day or night, so we had many sleepless nights, but she was worth every minute. The most gentle, soft, beautiful Cavalier who has ever shared our lives. Kyla - CKCS - Rainbow Bridge

This is my son's dog Jacko, he arrived into the care of Clare Animal Welfare in February 2003 emaciated and afraid of his own shadow and we took him on as a foster (back in the days when I only fostered one or two at a time for CAW ) A strong bond formed between the 2 of them so when it came to the time for him to be put up for adoption Aaron asked if we could keep him ... how could I refuse when at that stage they were 'footie buddies' These are various photos of Jacko being sporty through the years www.muchos.co.uk/members/armargo/aaron _ jacko 2.JPG[/img] www.muchos.co.uk/members/armargo/Goalie_ Jacko.JPG[/img] www.muchos.co.uk/members/armargo/aaron _ jacko 8-9-06 a.jpg[/img] This one I only took a few weeks ago, not so sporty looking but he is into his teens now Sheena

George - cocker spaniel 4 years old handed in to rescue at the tender age of 8 weeks as a puppy farmer's reject but thankfully Many Tears Rescue took him in and we were blessed that he came to us shortly after ... we think he's just perfect....

Rudi (Yorkie)- 7 years old - came to live with us almost one year and a half ago from The Little Dog Rescue. He came to us quite a timid little man, but now he has blossomed into a confident and cheeky little chappy - as I think this photo evidences Before (Rudi on his first night with us): After: (edited to add before photo )
