Dogs - all breeds, Cats and small animalsAnimal Concern Cumbria are a registered charity: 513091
It's aim is "to promote kindness and suppress cruelty to animals and to attend generally to the welfare of all animals in need of care and protection. They do not believe that any animal should be destroyed for want of a home"
West Cumbria Branch houses a maximum of 15 dogs in it's kennels.
As they have limited volunteers, the first need for the charity would be for people to come forward and offer just an hour of their spare time to help to walk the dogs, fundraise or help in whatever way they could. (designing posters, helping to post adverts, street collections, attend fundraising events for an hour to help 'man' a stall, etc..)
Items which the charity could use would be:
Toys,Treats (which we use for rehab and training)
Tennis Balls,
Bandages,
Gauze,
shampoo for dogs,
waterproof/fleece dog coats (any sizes),
washing up liquid, Bin bags
Towels,
Collars, nylon leadsFood (Tinned Chappie would be great as it's the only food Fizz can eat)
envelopes, paper, unused stamps etc...
Cat food, toys & accessories
Hamster, Rabbit, Guinea pig hutches/cages
Small animal foods and accessories
and any bric a brac to sell to raise funds for veterinary treatment & food.
All items donated and offers of help no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry, we can't collect items.

If you are unable to help by donating items or working directly with the animals, we are always in need of committed people who have a variety of computer or literacy skills and would be able to assist with the promotion of our animals needing homes, designing posters.
