Please excuse for being so rude..... was so eager to get to the auction bit, I forgot to come & introduce myself ..... oops
Anyway.... Hello ;D
I found your site from a linkie posted on The Little Dog Rescue Forum.
and what a great site this is too!!
I am a fosterer with TLDR but also have a couple or two or three permanent residents too
Firstly, Milo Lhasa who is 13yrs young. Unfortunatley diagnosed Cushings this year but still manages to lead a fairly active life keeping all the others in order.
Next: Heidi the Scottie. Adopted via TLDR. She is 5yrs old and is an ex-puppy farm breeding girl.
She has been with me a year and is my little Queen.
Next: Grouch the 3yr old Shih Tzu. Also adopted via TLDR as a companion to Heidi. He is my little teenage yoblet and is much loved by everyone who meets him. That's Grouch by looks not by nature ;D
Next: Hebe the Scottie. Hebe is 9yrs old and is my lifetime foster girlie. She has been with me for approx one year and has Cushings also very little eyesight through what the vet thinks is a blow or blows received to the head at some point in the past Our Heebs lives life to the max and is one of the sunniest personalities I've ever met.
Next: Truly the Scottie (are you picking up on the trend ). Truly came to us via Many Tears Rescue in March of this year. 7yrs old and spent her life being used as a breeding machine in a puppy farm in Wales.
She will be having no more puppies and this little flower is slowly, very slowing opening those petals and blossoming into a lovely little lady..... a work in progress but much loved and is finally "Truly" home for good.
Next: Dodger the Pembroke Corgi aged 2yrs. Dodger came to me to be fostered via TLDR earlier this year until he was ready to be re-homed after neutering and vaccs done.
My husband who doesn't "do" little dogs, fell hook, line & sinker for this little chap and now they don't really go anywhere without each other and I became technically a "failed fosterer" ;D
Now.... have I missed anyone?..... oh yes.... my husband also has two black labradors (working dogs) Gibbs & Flynn.
Flynn came to us via Lab Rescue.
Gibbs came to us via a gundog breeder as a pup.
We tour the country during the summer with Living Heritage Country Shows running the Fun Dog Show with proceeds donated to dog charities. This year proceeds went to TLDR, Lab Rescue & West Yorkshire Dog Rescue.
The Troops (as listed above) all come with us too.
During the winter, OH is out most weekends working the Labs - this year Dodger will be joining them.
Have been a successful bidder on this months TRPD auction so my fosters will be wearing the INAH lead this coming weekend at the Cheshire Country & Game Show.
Sorry if I've rattled on a bit
