Ohhhhhh! I am so sad to hear this news. Al was such a great help to me with both the setting up of my own forum, her sponsored Sew-In, and also such a great Lady who knew how to comfort others too.
What a shock.
RIP dear Lady, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.

Very sad news. I have never met Al but she was always very helpful when I contacted her about orders. She made some wonderful items for my hounds and was obviously a very giving and special person. Love and hugs to all her family and friends. RIP Al.

I lost my Mum recently, and very suddenly in a tragic accident. The news about Al comes even harder in a way.
I never met Al either, I wanted too. I loved the contact I had with her and loved the way she talked strainght to me. I know she was a very special lady and I send all my thoughts to her family.

I am very shocked and saddened to hear about Al. She has been very helpful to me and I had a lot of respect for her, I can't really believe she has gone.
Rest inpeace at the bridge Al - look after those dogs and ponies that were waiting for you to join them.
Our thoughts are with her family and friends - two legs and four.

I cannot believe the news, at the same time I am relieved to hear that she went in a quick and gentle manner without suffering. I lost my Mam in August to cancer and I can remember Al asking me possibly 2yrs ago, can't quite remember, how I felt as the child of someone going through treatment as she wanted to be able to better understand what it was like for her son & grandson .... the true genuine caring person which was Al My sincerest condolences to all Al's friends and family, may the sorrow you carry be lightened in the knowing that she is free from all pain and soaring high above with all of nature's wonder which she spent hours admiring at & from Llys Trerobert RIP Al, the world will be an emptier place without you for so many Sheena & all at Clare Animal Welfare and Armargos

I am so sad tonight.........
I was in touch with Al ever since I first got a computer and we often shared long chats via email over the years. She was such a kind lady with a wonderful sense of humour and, as others have said, so selfless - nothing was ever too much trouble.
My Dad passed away four months ago and I know the pain of loss is terribly hard to bear so this evening all my thoughts are with Al's family, all her friends and of course her beloved animals.
My rescues here are all kitted out in their collars, leads and coats -all made by Al over the years. We will never forget you. . . . . . .

Hi there
I have only got to know Alison recently and she is such a loyal person to know.
What a sad loss to the world we are in where few people have a huge heart like Alison did.
It just shows that there is a feeling person behind a profile name, and all persons should remember that no matter what
Bless her and RIP to Alison, and a hug to her family members from me
Regards Flowerpower

I would like to pass on my condolences both personally and on behalf of all the volunteers and dogs at Hope Rescue. Al was a true inspiration and will leave the most amazing legacy. To touch the life of just one dog is precious, but to help as many as she did through TRPD is truly special. On a personal note she has supported Hope Rescue from the beginning, and we met up many times. In those early days when fundraising was hard for a new rescue she would ring me with donations of bric-a-brac etc. She looked after our foster and kennel dogs with unexpected parcels of goodies. She worked tirelessly and selflessly for the dogs and I know how very much she will be missed by both her family and the rescue community. I have no doubt she will be greeted by an avalanche of doggy slobber as she reaches the Bridge. If there is anything we can do from a practical perspective please let us know as we are not far. To a very special lady who will always be remembered

I am relatively new to this Forum, but it was immediately obvious what a very special person Al was. She sent me a lovely PM when I joined and entered a photo competition. Reading through all these moving tributes just reconfirms what a very great deal Al achieved for so many humans and even more animals. It is hard to imagine a greater void that will be left in the rescue community, or greater sorrow for her family and close friends. RIP, Al, and may all the denizens of The Bridge be your guides, Marie-Anne
