We've all heard of duelling banjos but a feud between a few amateur artists/painters in TRPD groups is, hopefully, to be settled once and for all here on our board, and to aid the causes we support. A challenge has been issued for the combatants to each paint a watercolour of something inspired by animals, the countryside or even photos here on the board. These paintings will all be exhibited HERE as they come into TRPD and I'll then arrange for them to be mounted but not framed. Once we have at least six, we will offer them for auction to the highest bidders and for our funds, and the painter of the one making the most will be declared the winner. They will then receive a prize for the charity of their choice, and provided by the other duelling artists. Will one of YOUR photos provide the combatants with their inspiration, though? If so, then please identify yourself and your name will go into a draw, with the winner being able to nominate a rescue for a prize. So far only one painting has been received and it is this... Yorkie in Snow.

How do you mean that? Do you mean if I see that the painting was inspired by e.g. a photo of Baine then I "identify myself" or do you mean I should post a photo that I think could be inspiring for the combatants? (Feeling very dim again - but hey, it's Friday afternoon and who cares? ;D)

Simply ID yourself IF a painting that appears here is inspired by a photo of yours shown elsewhere on the board, Jutta.

No one has owned up, Becky, but surely you have one called Jack? Is it not like a photo you took? (Or could the name of the dog be wrong, and it be you Bob?) I think Margaret hope to use the painting as an illustration for the cover of a story booklet called 'The Dog That Came to Breakfast.'
