Al would like to print and sell a handbook on dog care. It is to be a very simple book for people who know very little a start for them. She needs photos for this book and this is why we are running this competition. Winning photos will receive lovely fleece grooming mits. The types of photos we are looking for are those related to dog care such as grooming, training (sit, lie, heel etc), with children, their own space i.e in a crate etc. These piccies ideally need to be clear, crisp and not have busy backgrounds. Photo competition is open to all and free to enter. Look forward to seeing your snaps

Don't know if this sort of thing is part of the booklet - but maybe under food as well as keeping a dog stimulated: Activity ball group down and wait/stay dogs in public transport making sure dogs can be seen at night natural dog behaviour - digging. "If you don't want your garden messed up, you should provide an area where they are allowed to do this, especially if you have a dog like a terrier or Dachshund" Chewing cleans teeth and is also a necessary behaviour - give them something suitable also reduces the chances they'll destroy furniture

Great idea, by the way, that booklet! Are you including something explaining what the body parts are called? (I'm looking for something like that for an "English lesson" for my god daughters)

There are some lovely pictures on here, thank you.
The booklet also needs puppy pictures as well, so please keep the pictures coming. The sooner this booklet is up and running, the quicker it can earn money for TRPD

Provide suitable toys - rope tuggers are good for chewing. Floating toys are useful if you walk and play near water, the doughnut shaped one is great for bowling and rolls a long way. Cages make a secure den indoors and are the safest way to transport a dog in the car, make sure the cage is also secured with bungee cords or similar How NOT to use a cage Puppies like to help with the gardening...ensure that you do not have poisonous plants within their reach {I have a link for a site which lists these, will try to find it} A paddling pool can help keep dogs cool in hot weather, but they should ALWAYS be supervised Cardboard boxes make a great first bed for pups, you can buy a proper bed for them once they are past the chewing stage. A duvet can be very comfy Plastic beds are very easy to clean and can be made cosy with blankets and vet bed Nylabones as seen in the bed are also great chew toys, make sure you choose the correct size for your dog. A good recall is essential for a dog's safety - a high value reward such as treats or their favourite toy can help you train for this
