Okay, let's have some constructive feedback here, please. It concerns me when there are posts on other forums stating this one is very hard to navigate, especially when we have worked hard to try and make it user-friendly and to accomodate a wide range of activities that support rescues. If there are ways to improve things further, let's hear about them.

I don't have difficulties using the forum as such, but there are minor things I am still somewhat confused about One thing I was wondering is if you win something for a rescue in a quiz, and are asked to nominate a rescue to recieve that prize. Is there a list of rescues to choose from, or can you choose any rescue? (edited for appaling typing symptomatic of need for sleep....)

You can choose your favourite rescue to nominate for a prize, Ruth, and if they don't have a representative on the board already, and are willing to allow you to become theirs here, there are even more ways you can help them via the group. In the staff room there are details of projects such as the 'Coldies and Oldies' - which provides a warm coat for a particularly needy dog in the care of a rescue and the 'I Need A Home' webbing project, which provides leads with that wording printed on and for use when rescued dogs are out and about meeting the public. (Although that one will end soon, and once the webbing runs out - unless we can afford to order more.)

I do get confused by the large amount of boards and subforums, and where to post about certain things (sorry sorry sorry).
I was disappointed to have someone tell me they didn't bother using TRPD because of how complicated the boards were (not my personal view, I voted that I persevere).

If you aren't sure where to post something, just ask, or post and ask for it to be moved if it's in the wrong place. ;D I tend to think of this board along the lines of a giant, virtual building that is fun to explore. With different groups tending to have control over their specific areas, it can be a bit like visiting, when popping into unfamiliar places for a change.

I voted.......At first etc and Persevered Am finding my way around now but still have problems if i ask a question or make a comment..........finding the reply. I often forget WHERE i asked the question in the first place or who started the topic .It is difficult if i didn't start the topic in the first place as that is easier to track down I could do with a little sign or something that lets me know where i have posted recently or a list of my recent posts. Not sure how you could do that though Maybe i should have voted........Yes - but then I am techno-challenged. As long as i can find the quizzes, items for sale and my PM alert, I'm happy.......I'm sure the rest will come in time I'm loving the site and the people. The rescues are benefiting and that can only be a good thing Keep up the good work Carol

Carol if you go into your profile you should be able to see your last post, you can view back as many as you want, and get to the threads that way

I forget even the short passwords - or that they have been changed and, even though as a main admin, I should be able to look those up, I can't remember how cos I am ! I do, however, know that one password is gogs! pmsl As for 'Bookmarks' I think if you bookmark a topic, you are sent an email to let you know when it has been updated.

I did when I first joined the forum, because I found there were lots of similar topics in different parts of the forum but once I learnt how to navigate that bit was solved. The only other thing that I think new people get confused with is all the differnet sales threads, there are the two topics ie buy it now and chaos and clutter but in those there are several little shops and I think people forget or dont know to look in the others for things, you only learn this when you have been here for a while or if someone tells you, but I dont know how you can work around this either.

I still miss the sales things. And also whatever thread you go on, certain things are always at the top which confuses me, sales threads etc

You mean the announcements, I think, Jazz. Would it be better if those were removed from the forums?
What do others think?

gogs is the password for the Grumpy Old Git's forum in the chat section. The only reason that's password protected is because swearing and strong language is allowed in there - you have been warned!

Would it be possable to have the announcements in the relevent sections only, like "Jazzs Challenge" just come up in the "quizzes and Challenges" sections, the "Collar A Pound Puppy Appeal" just come up in the "Rescue Related Forums" section, or does it not work like that
