Hello I have a three legged whippet x who adores coats and jumpers but struggles with normal legged jumpers, and she finds that coats with just velcro slip a lot. Have you any suggestions on something to suit her? thanks theresa

Al is the best person to speak to regarding coats but with regards to jumpers my mum knits them. She has previously made them with poppers for arthritic dogs and this might suit your girly.

That sounds a great option Amy! Thank you ! It's the big gap with the spare leg that is problematic, and with velcro coats they hang off balance How would I go about contacting your mum? Al any suggestions? Meg is a very small whippetty x, she's very slim, it might just be a case of a coat that fits her shape as opposed to buying the standard sizes. Theresa

You can contact her via me. I will speak to her and see if its possible for a jumper to be made with just one leg hole rather than two and whether its better to do it with or without poppers.
She is away for the next couple of weeks but she doesnt have any orders at the moment. If you can give me Megs neck, chest and back length and also which leg shes missing we can look into it for you ;D

Theresa, if you can send me some measurements, or post them here, plus which leg is missing, I'll have a play around. coune be a few extra darts would help for a fleece coat or waterproof one. We can but try.

Still trying to find a coat for my littl`un but no luck so far as she`s a slightly disproportionate shape so standard fit coats are usually too bulky for her or right length but wrong for her chest, and vice versa, none I`ve tried on her have been quite right anyway Is it possible to make one for her measurements in a lightweight waterproof, ideally in either plain brown, tan or cream, or a mixture of those sort of toning colours ? [ no green - I don`t do green no red as it would clash horribly dahling with her gingery tan markings, no pink, she`s a tomboy, and no check patterns as she does`nt want to look like the tweed and twin set Country type laydee, she made me say that ] Possibly paw print, pony print or camouflage might work in the brown tones department if you have any options in waterproof fabric if none of the other options are possible in plain-ish ? She does`nt feel the cold so would`nt need a thick/fleecy lining, just a nice cotton would be great. Her measurements are : Length 18" Chest 21" Waist 16" This is she, my T`Akaya, to show her shape if it helps Also I forgot to send in a pic of my Lurcher, FLuke, in his gorgeous chocolate brown thick lined fleece coat which I bought in a previous trpd sale, please feel free to use it if you like for the Gallery, I realise you would probably need to lift the pic to re-size and post it in suitable part of the gallery thread so please do feel free to edit the pic out of this post once you`ve lifted it if you want to use it ] [ I did get it deliberately a size bigger than he measures as he does agility so I wanted the extra length to keep his back end, hips, and top of legs particularly cosy to prevent muscle pulling in very cold weather during training sessions with him being a typically slender Lurcher with little body fat ] I`ll stop waffling now, sorry

Ooooh that would look lovely on her ;D Her collar measurement is 12" If it`s a completely different shade of brown to the one in Flukes photo, might you have enough to do one for him as well as T`Akaya is his `Mini-me`, sad I know but I love it when they have matching things If there is enough for him as well, his measurements are Collar size 16 Chest 27 Waist 18 Length 28 Fluke`s shape without a coat on : Don`t worry if there is`nt enough for two, it`s my shrimp who needs one more than Fluke as he has several already, it`s just a thought if it`s possible because of me being a sad case who likes them to match especially as they are so different in size that it`s daftly cute, well to me anyway

Thanks for posting the picture, Jacky... I really must make one for old Scampi, as he just blends into the undergrowth, and is very deaf now, so can't hear me when I call him, besides being in a bit of a world of his own these days.

Norris hears me he just doesn't listen!!!! He was very reluctant to come outside last night cos it was pouring down, as soon as I put his coat on he leapt in the van and had a riot!! He was running like a nutter (as usual) and the coat didn't restrict him at all. Can't recommend these enough!!
