Just taken in a skeleton who was nearly dead on Saturday night but seems to have ralllied a bit. She is going to need jumpers and coats for the rest of the winter. I have very little here that fits because she is so thin She's 22 inches tall, 22.5 inches along her back and 23 inches chest. I'll buy anything you have in stock especially if it covers her chest and undercarriage like a jumper Here is Grace

Will see what I can find here, Wendy. Poor girl.
Is she likely to be available for homing in time, or joining your gang?

BTW - reckon she qualifies for something from the 'Coldies and Oldies' project.

Thanks, Al She'll be here some time, I think, but not staying. She's a coldie but not an oldie - I was told that she is probably under a year. She has horrible pressure sores I doubt she'll be up for rehoming before end of January. I really can't take on any more. Not enough hands

Poor Grace it makes me so that anyone can let an animal end up in such a state. I am so glad she has found you.

Hello :-)
Have sent you a pm "Going to the dogs" but just thought would post here to in case you check this first.
Was just wondering if the 24" coat in the flash and grab sale would fit Grace??
If so I would like to buy her it for her.
It is disgraceful what people do to their dogs and how they let them get into a state like that.
Let me know :-) xxx

Wendy, Amy's mum knit Scampi a lovely jumper a while back and I think that will fit Grace for indoor use, and that Scampi can manage without it, as she is so desperate, bless her. Will get it in the post today for her. Fleece coat to follow asap from Coldies and Oldies project.

You are all wonderfully kind - thank you so much Grace seems to be doing well. I took her to the vet yesterday and the vet was so shocked at her state that he said that he would have put her to sleep. Over my dead body he will! He did warn me that it is likely that she has irretrievable damage to her digestive system and will not be able to put on weight. We'll see. She's eating, pooing and peeing well. Just have to pray that she is capable of putting on weight. You can see that she's looking better already. She had the cheek to climb up on to the top dogs' sofa. No-one minded though. She is such a sweetie. She is dressed almost exclusively by TRPD.

love her little heart. Twiglet was in the same state Wendy (hence her name). she came out of it fine, very tiny for a dalmatian and always scrawny but it doesnt hold her back any!

Thank you, Al, for the loan of Scampi's jumper. And thank you, too, for the lovely coat that arrived this morning. Grace is going to be so well-dressed. Here she is this morning - a lot happier than when she arrived 6 days ago.
