An anomymous benefactor has kindly offered to donate a prize each month to the rescue chosen by whoever this benefactor feels has made to most interesting and/or popular POST on this forum during the month. There is no entry fee, and no rules as to what form the post should take. It can be in any forum, and could be discussion, an article, story, quiz, competition, blog, personal share about the individual's pets, interests, rescue's work etc. Other than that, the benefactor hopes to see other members at least responding in some way, in order for the post to be considered. January's prize will be a dog coat or raincoat. Over to YOU!

This should be good for the forum and excellent for the animals So spread the word, everyone, because it needs posts for our anonymous benefactor to read before they make their choice. ;D I suspect they would like to be entertained as well as impressed.

That's not a good thing to mention to Dray, you know what he's like with the smileys ;D

Ah, but I have one advantage over Dray... I know the ID of the person judging this, and smiley faces probably won't impress at all. In fact, the person concerned is really quite a serious minded member, although does have a dry sense of humour.

It may be that the person concerned would consider exchanging the prize for cat blankets if the winner preferred, and a cat rescue was nominated.

Rather embarrassingly, our anonymous benefactor has picked out my blog as having giving him the most entertainment during January. Something to do with him not feeling alone when surrounded by a chaotic family and lots of critter-crap, I gather.
As Tailends has already nominated for a prize won this month, does anyone know of a rescue with a dog desperate for a coat or raincoat, and that our benefactor can provide, please?

I'm quite happy with that.
I have a feeling that EGAR has a new address now, though. Do you have that, please, Mary?

This last month (February) our anonymous benefactor says that, apart from reding my blog bits, he found little to entertain him, so instead of awarding a coat as a prize, he'll make up the coats to be donated to Northants Gryhound Rescue to eight instead of seven. He hopes that there will be some more interesting and stimulating posts during March.

Then our anonymous benefactor is a very hard task master ---------the February" Feel Good" topic was delightful----------however I am pleased to see that an extra coat is being given to Northants Greyhound Rescue. Mary

Alas, the poor fellow has SAD It makes him feel terribly bad. When the sunshire comes back I'm sure he'll change tack And once more he'll become Jack the Lad.

For March, the anonymous benefactor has decided the winnng thread is... The Grubby Fingered Gardener's one. I'll post there about it, and see if the members who have participated in those discussions would like to select a winning rescue.
