You may never see the group's new workshop facility so empty again! There's not much in there as yet, but we are starting to move a few essentials down there this coming week. My office chair for a start! Hoping to get cracking next week, despite having those damp problems and the leak. Have you all decided yet when you consider the builders to have finished? When they thought they had, or when they finish fixing the problems? Attachments:

When they finish fixing all the problems I hope you have kept enough of the payments back to get them to give you the finish you so deserve It looks like a decent size room

Not enough held back to my mind, Dray. There's more of the room than shows in the picture. It's 16'9" x 18'2" in total, and to the back of the support pillars. Had to clear leaves out of the guttering twice today - again! It is becoming a ritual! The wall of Merlyn's stable took the brunt of the storm and is wringing wet inside and out, as is the back of the building in a few places. The builder's phone's switched off, but I have left messages requesting that he meets me there tomorrow afternoon, and also rings me to confirm that tonight, if possible. We shall see if he does. If he tries ringing me in the morning he won't get me, as I have an early medical appointment, a huge bag of post to get out, a list of other things to get through, and I won't be home much at all during the day.

Just a quick update here to say... The builders STILL have not fixed the problems! Their excuse being they need a few dry days first!

I suppose they do have a point, but they will end up having to replace some roof timbers too, at this rate, as some are clearly rotting and covered with black mould/mildew, as they are soaking wet...

That's really shocking! I can't believe they haven't even done anything to cover the wood!

It was supposed to be treated and preserved timber. I am just hoping that uit will dry out so I can treat it again once they have sorted the leaks/seepage. Fortunately, that is worst in Merlyn's stable, and not the TRPD part of the building. The later's beams were all painted by Peter before we moved things into that part.
