Thanks everyone for your support. I don't have chillies in the house and the first thing Blue started eating was a magazine which was upstairs on the landing at about 9.15 am. and then ripped at everything else in the house and outside. He was fine yesterday and behaved and ate normally. However he has today just chewed up Lucy's bedding in her crate but didn't swallow it. They have had me for company all day aswell! He has kongs and rope toys to chew and in the seven weeks since he came to live with us he has never chewed on any household or bedding items before. His diet is good quality organic kibble and he also gets lamb mince, breast, chicken, pasta, rice and green veg. I think he actually eats a better diet than me. ;D So I'm not sure what to think atm. I have chosen my team but due to some electrical work which is about to start next week I may be off line at home and will use library computer when I can for a few weeks depending on electrician's timing....so I won't join till I'm back on line at home.

Oh! The suspense will kill me. I will be offline from tomorrow until Saturday so I'm going to have to wait Hope Blue is back to his normal self soon . Sophie chews our newspapers and messes up our bed but hasn't chewed anything.

Hiya, not joined yet. Very busy and frought with noisy building work in house, walls taken down, bricks and dust everywhere, so living in one room during day with all my furniture rolled up carpets and contents from kitchen, breakfast room, hallway and understairs storage cupboard, everything in boxes and 2 laaaarge crates and 2 laaaarge lurchers. Electricity and water going on and off so computer going on and off aswell, so will join when back to normal...whatever that is! but could be several weeks before brain can cope with comps & quizes. Blue fine thanks, not had any further episodes. How are you, have you been on holiday? Mal

It's been really hard choosing my team, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Alibullie's party invitation was so impressive I couldn't resist that could I ? Wildcats also appear to be short of members. So Wildcats here I come, well that is after the building & electrical work is over. Sorry Wolves it was very close.

Hi Mal welcome to the Wildcats I think we have always been a small team but we are active and try very hard to beat the wily wolves (even if my latest nick the pictures out of a book attempt failed )

You know what they say Mal, a problem shared is a problem halved so tell us about them Did you go to Peterborough last weekend?

No sadly I didn't go to Peterborough. I very much wanted to go to meet people and their hounds but due to a health problem atm I cannot drive distances especially on the motorway nor can I sleep in a tent. I don't know any one in my area with greys or lurchers, in fact I have only ever seen 2 people walking greys around this neck of the woods over 20 years! I have briefly seen a few people at Lurcher Link & Greyhound Gap stands at local dog events but unfortunately my two hounds don't get to walk with any of their own kind or other dogs and have "doggie pals" around here. I was thinking of posting a request to meet up with others for gentle walks in Heaton Park, Manchester or Moses Gate, Bolton or anywhere else nearby at weekends or during the week after the building work is finished. Being on my own now I feel somewhat isolated and I need to do something about it. Re one building problem, Rising damp has just been discovered all round the back of my house and all and the paths have to be dug up and dropped 6 inches and a new damp proof course put in, which is a bit (lot ) of a shock as no one was aware of this before the work started and it wasn't of course part of the budget and upheaval. Thanks for listening/reading Mal

Hi cookie, sorry I called you Brandy previously. Ann K very kindly put some pictures on for me on page 2. The ones of Blue are when I first brought him home and he was underweight. He still needs to gain weight but I think it's going to take a few more months to see a difference. I have some recent pics taken by a friend and I am hoping if I ask Ann K very nicely she will put them on for me again. Mal
