Well, as there is nobody on the quiz rota now, it seems an idea opportunity to ring the changes, so this is what I propose - and all are welcome to pass comments, make suggestions, agree or disagree. It's not set in stone, as they say. I suggest that we hold the quizzes on Sunday evenings only, instead of posting a question per day. That we have 10 questions and prizes, posted as they were last night, in the thread. That we have an extra free draw each Sunday evening for everyone who participates in the quiz - that whether they win a prize or not - and for an INAH web lead which they can keep themselves if they are fostering or transporting, or nominate to go to a rescue. That each week I post the quiz thread in advance, including the available prize list, or, if unavailable, delegate that and send a prize list to whoever I'm delegating to in advance. That we start a new Quiz Rota thread here in this forum, giving the dates for each Sunday Quiz, and we try to encourage more members to take a turn at being the adjudicator. That those able to post about it on other forums and Facebook undertake to do so. Next Sunday, Whizzie will be the QA. Any comments?

Wonders if she could be brave enough to adjudicate....maybe give a couple of weeks trial first?

I think that's a great idea because then I might win more prizes & get my own back! It's really not difficult. I've only done 1 quiz previously, the week before last. I actually volunteered because 1) it was such a shame it had gone very quiet on here. I was sad to see that because Al & the TRPD folks are so generous to rescues and it felt very wrong to see support for the quiz declining 2) I'd won lots of prizes the week before when there were hardly any competitors so it flet like payback time! I enjoyed being the QA so here I am again on the rota for Sunday. It's actually quite fun coming up with a theme & questions. I'm sure you'll be fine

Why not have some 'trial run' quizzes just for fun and honours, that otherwise follow the same format as the Sunday quiz, and will give all interested a chance to have a go at being a QA and a chance to practice before a Sunday quiz when there are prizes on offer?

Thanks Nicki. I have added you to the rota for 29/8. I was feeling a bit lonely on there all on my own.

Do we still need all of the team dens and the virtual jail? These do not appear to have been used for a considerable time?

Do we still need all of the team dens and the virtual jail? These do not appear to have been used for a considerable time? I'd vote no. I think that is all a bit confusing & the quiz is best kept simple. In general, anything people don't understand makes them feel excluded. I'd recommend a spring clean & deletion or archiving of old threads. IMHO with focus on key areas like sales, quizzes etc I think the forum would be more attractive to a wider audience. It is still very confusing for new folk

I'm inclined to agree. It may be that there are some threads in the dens that some wish to retain, or make a note of for reference, so I'll give it a couple of days, then move them out of sight into the archive for a bit before deleting. Will also see what else hasn't been used much and do the same with those.

I think changing the quizzes is a great idea, trying to remember to post the question everyday with a hectic life at present just got to much. As for the dens, no one uses them and now Alibullie's not around there seems little point in having the jail

I have now removed most of the team dens and the virtual jail to the archives. I've left the Wolves and Wildcats dens for now, just in case those teams want to reference or move any information they might need, but I'll be leaving that up to them to sort out, and will then archive those dens over the next weekend. I have also archived the 'Teenagers' Chat' section, as we hardly have any teens and it's not been used for years.
