Jutta, Why do you have an iris and a hydranger amongst your entries, please? LOL (Even if they are lovely. ;D ) Er... so who do you all think has come closest to winning this one?

Iris? Which one is an Iris? The one I marked? If that's the one - it's because I know next to nothing about flowers! There is no hydranger on my photos, though (I do know them). Which one do you think is a hydrangea?

Some lovely pictures here, including of flowers not on the list (and animals with unidentified flowering & flying objects) but no one or team has managed to get all on the list, therefore I'll extend the competition until 8 p.m. this evening and give points, so that we can get a winner.
Points scored to date are as follows:
1) Blooming aquilegia - Viv - 2 points; Amy (but no blooms) - 1 point; Jutta & Moneypenny - 2 points.
2) Blooming buddelia - Viv (With butterfly) - 3 points; Amy (but no blooms) - 1 point; (Jutta & Moneypenny with dog) - 3 points.
3) Blooming bluebells- Viv (With dog) - 3 points; Amy - 2 points.
4) Blooming forget-me-nots - Amy (with rabbit) - 3 points.
5) Blooming lillies -
6) Blooming hyacinths - Viv (with dog) - 3 points; Amy (with dog) - 3 points; Jutta & Moneypenny - 2 points.

The iris is the lovely purple flower with turned back petals, Jutta.
There's been a debate here about the blue flower - could it be a close up of a forget me not? Some here claim it is a hydrangea! lol

Yes, Alison, it's a close-up of a forget-me-not from Heinz (as they're called the exact translation in German -vergiss mein nicht- that one was fairly easy ) if "the gardening powers" don't want to accept that one, I'll make another photo here, as the ones in my excuse for a garden are flowering. I'm off to try to find bluebells now! Oh - is it 'accepted' that nikkib is on our team now? Then I suppose we may have the lilies...

does it have to be my dog or can it be a friends dog in the pictures?

It just has to be a 'mammal', nikki - so yes, it can be your friend's dog!
