in aid of Pinkpaws - i'm doing one (solo eeeekkkk) on Monday (bank holiday) in the village - phew its not a huge one  I have loads of stuff here (included some things that kind members of TRPD have donated) what i am taking along to sell. I've got a big box of Lego that i'm asking £20 and wont let it go for less as theres sooooooooo much there  wonder how much stuff i bring back!!! more importantly, wonder how much i'll raise for Pinkpaws - we have taken in a Rabbit this week, needed an operation to remove some of its teeth, so only hope she is eating today or she has to go back to the vets

Glenys, why don't you post the venuefor the sale and time, that way perhaps any local to you members might come along to support you... or perhaps help to fill up your car to go home with a load more donations of things? ;D

Excellent news, Glenys. When we did car boot sales on a regular basis, I used to ask the burger van owners for all their used plastic or polystyrene cups, take them home, wash them, then pot up dozens of Christmas cacti and other houseplant cuttings and things like mint, herbs, and other spare plants dug up from the garden or allotment, in them. We then sold those for about 50p each and those were quite popular, too. When there was a glut of runner beans in the garden, I'd weigh those up into bags of a pound and sell those too for the funds. The same with rhubarb, surplus eggs and anything else in season, too. Possibly some of your church supporters would donate things like that for the rescue, too?

Ok, so who ordered rain!!! I have been and done the bootfair, packed up about an hour ago, cos it was raining and there were no new people around (in fact there was no one wandering around  ) typically its now sunny I managed to make £58though which isnt too bad i guess for a couple of hours, had it been sunny all the time i reckon i'd have done more need to do another now when its not raining!!

That's the trouble with Bank Holiday Mondays, I fear. Murphy's Law prevails. Sorry you didn't do better.
