Thank goodness it is Friday! After having my little grandson everyday this week, I am exhausted! How on earth do teachers cope with a whole class full of four year olds? Yes, yes, of course he wants to help. I now have pots and pots of mixed fittings; lead clips fastened one to another like yards of Christmas streamers; no sign of my 'grippy stick; a mountain of shredded paper that I HOPE only includes the junk mail and as for my vacuum cleaner, Henry... Well, having foolishly mentioned I needed to clean the ferrets out, and thinking the little one was simply using the Henry to clean up the budgie feathers and seed off the kitchen floor, a little voice said... 'I've cleaned the ferrets out, Nanny, but I didn't have to open the cage door. Henry gobbled up all the ferret poo through the bars!' Why, oh, why, didn't I stick to getting those disposable vacuum bags, instead of thinking it would be more economical in the long run to have a cloth one? Thank goodness his regular babysitter is feeling better now. I just hope they are fully recovered by next Monday, as I am now way behind with my work! It really is a full-time job looking after kids! Either that or I am too old for it! How do others cope?

Too right, I did! Have spent half the morning looking for the workshop keys, which I KNOW were on the desk yesterday. He has a thing about keys, so I actually made him up a bunch of old ones, having reclaimed my car and house/yard keys. Only realised the workshop ones weren't on the desk when I wanted to go up there this morning to cut out some coats. Running out of obvious places to look now, and it will be Monday at the earliest now before I can borrow a set and get new ones cut. Not sure the one padlock key can be reproduced, either, so could be a boltcutter job and a replacement padlock for that one.

Turned this place inside out and STILL no sign of the keys! Are there any psychics out there? In fact, is there anybody there? Oh, well, at least I have managed to make my allowance of items (training harnesses and double ended leads) today, and in between scouring the place for the keys. Er... Mary, when would you like those orders listed, so that you can claim the sales and beat me on that day? Goodness knows, the sales team need the points!
