Hello
I have signed up to run the Windsor half marathon at the end of September. I am running it in aid of The Dogstar Foundation and hope to raise a good amount for them.
I thought I would start asking friends (online and in life)and family for sponsorship at the same time as I am trying to sign up to the gym :flowers:
There is no question (all being well) of me not finishing it, the only thing will be the timing!
I did the Windsor 1/2 marathon a couple of years ago in one of the slowest times of the day. This time I'm hoping to do it in a *respectable* time.
I am not an active person, my activity is usually walking to the car and at a push walking to the bus stop. Though I did walk Mount Kinabalu earlier this year with no training, but that was a slow trudge up hill. This I'm hoping will be a bit quicker and it's the quickness that gets me!!
Any ways, if you'd like to sponsor me, please can you reply to this thread or PM me
Many many thanks
Murtle xxx

Steve says he'll sponsor you some puppy leads to go with the sponsored puppy collars off me, Mary... BUT he wants pictures! Seems to think you could be the 'ex-forces' pin-up for the office wall! I think it was that shot of you in the jungle with an Orang Utan that did it. He hasn't been the same since...

Perhaps it is Steve that should be sponsored, Mary... I gather three people caught him admiring your photo in work today, and Maggot asked if you have a twin sister! Men, eh? (Oh, and Gary accused Steve of 'cradle snatching' and won't believe you are twenty-three or four.)

Gary thinks you are no more than 18, Mary... but then, he does fib about his own age and claims he's only 59... He claimed he was 52 in about 1997... However, they told him in work that they won't allow him to retire. ;D Oh, forgot to add that Gary will sponsor you a pretty satin puppy coat.
