RuthE kindly pointed me in the direction of this forum so thought I'd quickly introduce myself. I'm a 40-nothing ditzy blonde from Cambridge (originally Suffolk but jumped the border last year ;D ). I used to own & ride horses up until Jan 2006 when I gave it all up for an easier life. I don't miss horses funnily enough but they have left a big gap in my social calendar/lifestyle! I have recently started up a website, ifihadapound.webs.com, which is centred around small charities concerned with animal welfare & rescue. It's in the early stages and I'm tweaking as I go along & find something isn't working or needs changing/adding but I'm very much enjoying doing it and I hope people find it of help. Anyway, that's a little about me and I'm now going for a wander round the forums

Hi, and welcome to the group here. It sounds likr a most interesting venture that you are busy setting up. Do keep us informed of progress. I also have a horse (rising 24, so semi-retired) and a couple of ponies, the one I hope to drive one day. She's only three years old at present, and at the long-reining stage of her training. Slightly tempted to break the other little one to harness too, although she is an eight year old, and my grandson's lead rein pony. I know what you mean about the 'easier life' though. Got my old fellow in this afternoon for the night, and he was soaking wet and plastered in mud and burrs. Far too wet/muddy to attempt to groom him until he's dried off.
