this is a thread for my dogs too (as i dont want them to feel left out )
first up is
SANDY
we had her at about 13 weeks old,she has been our family dog,she has always been a star ,shining her light upon us at all times!!
she was my childhood dog, going EVERYWHERE with me,she saw me through all my boyfriends (all the heartache also),she saw me through my first pregnancy and alerted me that my waters were about to break by not letting me go to sleep all night (they did break but not until early hours of the morning)
and she has been such a special dog!!
when i left home (not long after the birth of my first) she remained with my mum,for many yrs she was the pampered pooch there, until my mums new husband came on the scene.
He hated all animals and her exsistence there started to drain away!! she was very withdrawn, they used to let her rome the streets and she nearly got run over a few times!! (i must add that by this time me and my mother had nothing to do with each other, and still dont)
the dog warden had picked her up a few times and my mum had had several fines!!
Then one day last yr her husband told her that sandy had to go,because she was costing too much in fines!! (i'm in tears writing this as it still hurts to this day that a dog that gave us the best yrs of her life ,was treated in such a way)
And thats when i got my sister to take her away from my mum and give her to me!! she didnt deserve such a wonderful dog!!
So now she will live her days to the very end with me,and when she finally does go to doggy heaven ,i hope she can go with a smile on her face!!! I will always love her and will always give her the best of me in return!!
(right wipe away the tears and move onto my other doggie )
next we have
LOTTIE
we bought her from a farm in the gower at 16 weeks old,she was one of the last 2 puppies remaining from the litter and poked her head outta the box ,she had such kind eyes that we had to have her!!
she came home in a lil cardboard box and didnt complain all the way home!! her first present to us when we got her home was an "eiffel tower" in the living room teehee
but we had to laugh as she looked so proud of herself!! ;D
my little boy was one at the time and she used to chase him around biting his ankles, then the roles were reversed by the time he was 2 and they had sooooo much fun together!!
they have grown up together and she never leaves his side!! she even has to sleep on the end of his bed every night without fail!! she waits for him to come home from school and they will play outside until it is time to come in!!
she has been a blessing since day one and she will continue on with us until it is her time!!
they both dress up every year for halloween , christmas, and easter, and she loves every minute of her life with us!!
no sad stories here, just happy ones!!
