Hello all I have been pointed this way by a couple of peeps on Dogpages as the place I need to be. I'm trying to find out where I can buy lengths of Softex/padded webbing to make harnesses/collars/leads with - for my own use initially. One of my fosters has a lovely softex harness but they are not being made any more, and I want some for the other 5 dogs! Any ideas? I've tried googling but all I get is things already made out of it, not the raw materials. Also while I'm here - can anyone suggest good materials to make seriously strong dog toys out of? I am working on a design for a destuffable/restuffable toy so the material needs to be really good. Thank you

I am not sure what web you mean by 'softex', but suspect it might be something like what we call cushion web? If so, then you will need an industrial sewing machine to stitch it, as the weight/thickness will ruin a domestic weight one in no time! (I know, because I have done so, and know of others who have ruined their machines, too. ) It might also be what we call 'comfort web'. If you take a look at our sales threads for things made with this webbing, and see if it is the right stuff, and get back to you, I might be able to supply you with a few metres. It is normally sold to us in bulk by our supplier, as we buy trade, with a minimum order value of £150. Al
