Well let me start by saying that I am really an old member. I lost this address when my computer went kaput and took all my files with it. It was only while cleaning my drawers out on Sunday I came across this address again. Some of you may remember me as the old biddy who put some poetry books called Animal Crackers in the auction some time ago. I still have my dog Gigi as you can see I also have another website apart from my two WW2 websites that deals just with photos of pets and a poem about them. It was originally put up for my granddaughter but some adults asked me if they too could have their pets put on it so I turned it into a family site. ;D www.petpals.thefourcorners.co.uk/Now that I am back I will call in a bit more often and also pass the site on to others who love animals. God Bless All Keep up the good work. Maywalk aka Maisie.

Lovely to see you and Gigi back here, Maisie. If you'd like to post any poems in our poetry forum, please do so. There is some vague talk of publishing a group poetry booklet in the future, and to sell for funds for the project. We just need to find someone to co-ordinate its preparation and stir up the poets and illustrators that lurk here.

I MAY be able to help in that respect Alison.
If we can get at least 15 to 20 poems together I could ask the chap who printed my books if he would print some off for the site to either sell at the rescue homes or to auction on this site, or both.
I have just had a book published by him about the first 20 years of my life called Yesterdays Child. It takes the reader through me being ill treated by nuns and through the bombing during the London Blitz. It goes through my life up until my farcical wedding day. Its gone like a bomb and I made well over £200 to go to my Rainbows Childrens Hospice. Let me know what you think.
God Bless Maisie.

Maisie, the plan would be to publish, print and bind it ourselves, pehaps using special papers for some pages of illustrations that members could paint, remove and frame to hang on their walls. Although spiral bound, the aim will be to make them a bit special and limited editions.

I'll have a word with Jack on Thursday night and see if he'll do the organising, unless anyone else here would like to volunteer?

Not quite sure what you mean by organising Alison but if I can help in anyway just shout.
