I hope this isn't a stupid question! I'd like to bid on a waterproof coat for my dog Boo, but I'm not sure about the sizing? In the auction threads, is the measurement given the girth size, or the length from neck to tail? She's got a deep chest and a small waist (collie x GSD) so I want to get it right! Thanks!

The sizes given are the length from the base of the neck to the top of the tail. If in doubt, there is an order thread in the 'Sales category', where you can post the dog's measurements, colour and style required. Some slim-waisted collie types may be better suited to a sighthound style coat, especially if they are particularly rounder above the tail. The standard coats tend to be better on the breeds with squarer quarters and little waist definition. The average drop on coats tends to be half of the length, and measured from the top of the shoulder to the elbow. Hope this helps?

It does, thank you! I will measure her up now and have a look at the auction thread again!
