Gosh this was a tricky one, but to my absolute astonishment I've got 6 of the categories (well 5 1/2 anyway) - and all my own photos, providing you will accept scanned ones from way before digital photography? Here goes...... Muddy poodle (the mud is already in the water!) Sleeping Yorkshire terrier ( a little guest in our bed, sadly now at The Bridge) Cuddling German Shepherd (when we visited our friends in South Africa) EBT (about to be) swimming in the sea - also in South Africa, but I should have left the camera rolling! Labrador running (my friend's guide dog enjoying her free run and her passion for HUGE sticks) Shih-tzu chasing a toy (my own Lucy ferreting them out from her toy box)

On second thoughts, I CAN do it now as it's only one prize per member (thought it was per photo at first - obviously not functioning very well this week!)
1 x 1.5kg bag Pedigree Biscrox crunchy biscuits (mmmmm!)

Can anyone else enter for this competition? Otherwise there's not going to be much of a parcel for the winning rescue. Have a good rummage round amongst your old photos - I was amazed how many I'd got in my collection when I looked.

Would it perhaps be better if we change the challenge as follows:1) English Springer Spaniel (or any other dog) in the mountains 2) Greyhounds playing (or any other dog) 3) Muddy poodle(s) (or any other dog(s)) 4) Sleeping Yorkshire Terrier (or any other dog) 5) Cuddling German Shepherd (or any other dog) 6) Rottweiler (or any other dog) taking part in obedience competition 7) English Bullterrier (or any other dog) swimming in the sea 8) Labrador (or any other dog) running 9) Shi Tzu chasing a toy (or any other dog) 10) Deerhound or Irish Wolfhound (or any other dog) stretched out on a bed (a 'proper' bed for humans) It would be great if more of you took part - the photos are not supposed to be terribly serious, it should be fun - for you to find/take the photos and for the people here looking at them ! If you can make a photo of your cat doing "obedience" (or looking like she is going to heel!) - put it up! If your horse is stretched out on a sofa or being very muddy - go ahead! This is to get 'stuff' for rescue orgs AND to have fun at the same time!(If it's too difficult for me to decide who's winning, I'll appoint a friend as independent adjudicator!)

Well in that case, I'll add my remaining 4 - and include some Christmas mince pies (for dogs) in my "entry fee"!! Dog in the mountains (my friend's Cavalier Polly) Dog playing (little Millie who we looked after one Christmas) Dog in obedience (Good Citizens at Crufts last year) Dog stretched out on a human bed (my very own Megan with her Dad)

I think it's too easy now, I could probably post photos in all the categories just with one dog. Perhaps you could make it, Any Spaniel in the mountains, sighthounds playing, muddy gun dogs, sleeping terrier etc.
Just a suggestion!
By the way, this was the first email I received from you, I didn't get the sweeties one, or any others about this if there were any. I don't know what's going on with the emailing system!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear you didn't get the emails! I have no idea what to do about the disfunctional email systems - I'm afraid Al used to deal with all such things Thank you, wagtails, for posting those photos If nobody else posts, then of course wagtails will have won - but if somebody manages to get all or nearest to 'all' of the photos with the breeds stated or with breeds nearer to the ones stated (e.g. scruffy lurcher instead of Deerhound or IW), then that person would win. And of course the photos are lovely to look at anyway - so if you'd like just like to 'show off' your dog(s) that's welcome - especially for the benefitting rescue org

I got the emails - but only saw the last one after I'd seen the changed requirements on the forum and posted my extra photos anyway. Do hope SOMEBODY will challenge me for the prizes. As petdesigns says it's all for a bit of fun and a good cause and I'm not at all close to the required breed (or even the required activity) in several categories. So go on......have a go

Well I just love sharing some of my thousands of photos with anyone who cares to look at them, so it was a pleasure. Nicki tells me that Al was a great supporter of HWAR, which isn't a million miles from me, so I'll give the dog biscuits to them. They will be opening a new shop on 1st December, and I have a box of bits for that, so will take the biscuits etc over with me then (snow permitting!) Thanks for the extra stamps too
