I have various assorted wools that I would be happy to donate to anyone who could make use of the yarn for rescue purposes. Unfortunately I can`t crochet much now otherwise I could have churned out squares etc, so let me know if anyone wants some .

Just a thought here - would you be able to use the wool for blankets if you had a knitting machine to do them with?

I haven`t got the strength to do that . What I need is a virtual crochet program on the computer!

Hi Wendy! My mum and grandma knit blankets which I take to Bath Cats & Dogs home and my mum is currently knitting some doggy-cardigans for Fionna at Lizzies Barn as there are 2 rather bald pooches who need a change of clothes! If you still have the wool let me know and I can maybe sort out getting to the 'Happy Knitters'!!! Thanks Wendy x

Hi Mommybear good to see you here, I am sure that Alison will be able to give you some ideas as to what is involved and where to get patterns etc If I tried to knit something it would end up with great big holes all over it So very pleased we have an experienced knitter on board Tobleronie

Have you not contacted Hobbit for Hound Aid? I'm not sure what area you are in but they are Colchester, Eassex, which may not be that far from Stanstead? She's not logged in for a while so best to email her.
