I know I've bored some of you nearly to death with our "Dickerfield", but I'd like your opinion on something. And maybe it can relieve any boredom you may feel The field is 3.5 acres big, fenced in fairly securely (I hope to be visited by a TRPD forum member with her dogs this weekend - she'll be in a better position than myself to comment on how secure it is - Dicker and Baine are only interested in digging there and have so far shown no intention to explore the neighbouring fields anyway ). I am wondering whether it may be of any use to anybody if, in the long run, not straight away, we made the field available (when I/we are there!) to other people whose dogs cannot be let of the lead 'outside' for various reasons. Do you think it could be useful for other people (or rather their dogs!) and do you have any ideas how one could go about it?

Considering the slope and the lack of toilets, camping may be a bit difficult - but we might be having a barbecue there this weekend...

and beer and cider and beer and cider and more beer
A dog show sounds an excellant idea if there is ample parking

Perhaps you could advertise at a local vets or your local rescue home Jutta.

I think that's a lovely idea Jutta. I know I've seen on some forums that some people do actually rent land to exercise their dogs.
Maybe if you could contact a behaviourist/trainers through your vets, I'm sure they would be very grateful to have somewhere to work

I'll first check out what other dogs would do on the field. I have to wait until the hedge is grown back a bit anyway to make sure that it's pretty much 'escape-proof'. I hope I'll have a couple of TRPD-visitors soon(ish)...
