Don't know if everyone is aware of the Tellington touch. It is a technique for healing and helping animals that are injured or disturbed. First used on horses it has been discovered to be useful on most animals. It has been develpoed in this country by Sarah Fisher who does excellent work for many rescues in patricular Battersea Dogs Home. She is based near Bath and works from Tilley Farm. Here is Sarah'swebsite if anyone is interested. www.tilleyfarm.co.uk/She runs workshops to enable other people to use it. I did a weekend workshop (ie very basic level stuff) and have found the touches I learnt (practising on my own dog!) to be extrememly useful with certain of my foster dogs. I have heard very good feedback from others that have used it on their animals too. Just thought I would let readers here know about it.

I organised a 2 day workshop for Marie Miller last February but unfortunately not many people turned up. A lot was interested until they found out who was organising it, bit silly really because they don't know me only what someone has said about me. If they had asked Marie she would have told them what I really am like because we have been friends for a few years now.
I would recomend people to go to a workshop if they can, it really is good and it helps my dogs when the go to the vets because the are terrified.
I know I benefited from the workshop and I also know others that did as well. One is now fostering for a rescue and it helps her foster dogs when they first arrive.
I have information on how to do TTouch if anyone is interested pm me your email address and I will send it. There is 3 attachments for it.
Margaret

TTouch is something I'm definitely interested in. I think it would complement Reiki really well too. Such a shame some people didn't show to the one you arranged Margaret. I did buy a book on TTouch to use on one of mine about 5 yrs ago - unfortunately it came thru' the letterbox (I thought it would be too big) while I was out ... and he'd eaten it by the time I got home

Selina, there is information about courses on Sarah Fisher's website www.tilleyfarm.co.uk/They seem to take place at Bath - not sure how far that is from you? There is also a video available from the website, which is very good - I'm hoping to have go with my hounds, especially Rupert for his walking problems. The books sometimes come up on E-bay too, so worth watching out for!

Selina, I live just around the corner to Tilley Farm (so to speak - it's a couple of miles). She occasionally gives courses in aid of Bath Cats and Dogs Home (I attended one a few years ago) and you can also go there with your dog(s) for treatment and learning how to use it for your dog's particular problems. It's a lovely place (and they've got a couple of Iceland Ponies... )

Hi, just to let people know, if you go to the Tilley Farm website and look in the section titled courses and workshops it lists many of the workshops that practitioners run all over the country. So even if you are not in the Bath area there may be a practitioner close to you who does run workshops.

This is something that I am particularly interested in having tried a few basic principles to my own dog and had a lot of success. Would definately be interested in learning a lot more..

I did a weekend workshop in Dublin 2yrs ago and it was super, I use it all the time on my own guys & rescues. My mothers old collie, Prince, plagues me for some everytime I go into her house If you go to the t-touch website you can register to get emails which tell you when courses/workshops, etc are coming up. I would love to do the full course but it just works out so expensive when you take the exchange rate, flights & accommodation into account Sheena

hi mugsy i cant pm you will you be planning another work shop this year? i would love to come along. i'm having great success with the python lifts, clouded (and lying) leopard and my girls just love the ear touches. twig my little deaf girl couldnt stand having hands anywhere near her ears. we know she suffered at the hands of others due to her deafness and she would wince automatically at hands near them so we can guess she was pulled about by her ears. i still have to take my time but even she is enjoying the ear touches!! when my shih tzu and i did the bronze kcgc award there is a section where you groom your dog while he/she remains calm. muppet was on her back with her legs in the air because i did TTouch to calm her before i got the kit out. (she passed )
