we are desperately seeking a temporary foster for a rotti bitch, the owner is a battered wife and has gone into shelter until she can find accomodation, she tires quickly she is 10 years old the lady has had her for six years was a rescue from salcey forest rescue, fine with her son in fact knows when he is going to fit not good with cats fine with older children very well behaved doesnt chew not greedy can be left alone for quite a while lovely old girl, her name is billie, ok with male dogs but used to being an only dog not to keen on other bitches. if you can help please contact Jane 01327 858238 The Algernon Trust Northamptonshire, Billie is in Milton Keynes, her owner is willing to pay for her food while she is being fostered but just cant afford kennel costs

I would suggest that you post about this on The Refuge board if you haven't already done so. Rick is a big Rottie fan and may have contacts who could help, and with knowledge of the breed.

I have passed it on to a friend who sometimes fosters, she is experienced with Rotties, has 2 herself.
Paul Wootton may be able to take her, not sure how busy he is at the moment, but he can be contacted through Trallwm Farm

Hi have contacted st albans rescue cher knows of this little girl now but, well keep fingers crossed we may have a foster for Billie but it came from a very strange place my friend the local dog warden who has been heaping loads of help and advice on me with little ice who we have now had just on a year gave me a web address of shelters that help domestic violence abuse woman and children that have pets so have contact the group nearest us to see if they can offer our lady some help so keep fingers crossed please and as a thought I have copied and pasted the sites info page on here for anyone else that might need a hand but have no idea where to go www.refuge.org.uk/page_l1-2_l2-2456_.htm hope this will be of help to others in the future regards ems
