Well that's what Winston Churchill used to call his depression.
This is something I just wanted to share with you all, Cos I can!!!
This is a long one so grab your coffee.
My sister and I both suffer Bi Polar Affective Disorder (Maniac Depression.)
For those who don't know what this is....It's a mental illness caused by a certain chemical lacking in the brain. You have to take nurmous amounts of tablets, one of them being Lithum to try to stabilize things.
Don't worry I am not a danger to anyone.
People with this sometimes are as high as a kite, chattering 19 to the doz, then they can plunge into deep depression within hours.
Must admit if it wasn't for my loving, ever suffering hubby it would probably be to much to bear!
My sister who has this reckons the same as me you laugh through it, she has written some brilliant poetry.
Get this one then, let me know what you think
Sweet Deliverence.
Dear Lord, when my time has come,
And I am here no more,
If reincarnation is reality,
I know what I'd use it for.
If I have served you well, Lord,
And you are pleased with me,
Let me choose the way Lord,
Of what I am to be.
I want to return as a chocolate cake,
A desire, I must confide.
It must be a chocolate cake,
With a squashy, soft inside.
It must be laden with calories,
With dark secrets, in it's midst.
Maybe blood red cherries,
To tasty to resist.
It must be full of cream,
With tantalizing curls.
And little chocolate droplets,
Like innocent pearls.
Why are you looking puzzled Lord?
Have you never seen?
How such a scrumptous chocolate cake,
Brings behaviour, so obscene.
Have you ever seen so much love?
Such desire and respect.
Have you ever seen this cake,
Treated with neglect.
People look upon your beauty,
Gaze at you with awe.
Of course I'm really certain,
Yes, I am really sure.
I just want a moment,
To revell in esteem.
Before the greedy gannets,
Lick the platter clean.
Then I'll be back to see you,
So you can take your pick.
Oh, let it be a doughnut,
To make the bas***ds sick!!
By C.E Baker.
Mental illness carries such stigma, and people fear the unknown.
Below this she has written.....
The only thing I could think of, that would bring me respect after reincarnation!!!!!!!!!!!
Love
