Thank you
I stand here now all alone Sometimes cowering Shivering Alone
The doors do bang They seem to sing No ones coming No wants him
Faces pass Swift feet run by And still those doors do Sing their hymn
The air is eerie Here all alone No real bed Is this a home?
Days go by And more arrive Days go by And some leave my side
I reside myself To hear the doors And curl in the corner A pathetic ball
Voices now lower And the door sings louder The air is panic And voices rise higher
Hope still Glimmers in a corner of my heart The doors are wrong
Then there you are All a fluster Tired and worn But full of bluster
A voice so warm A caring touch Not much to give Just full of love
A dishevelled look Clothes smell funny Counting out small change Trying to find money
Then suddenly We are on the go Thanks to a text, A car and phone
The rescuers The ones who care Have arrived to take me Who knows where
The hours you’ve given The things you’ve missed Your family who have Missed your gentle kiss
And all for us you struggle on Giving your all Whilst others miss out And have no fun
But now I am safe Can rest a while For thanks to you I now have a SMILE
THANK YOU
