Hello all! Here's how things are currently looking on the "Spolit Dogs" series... Labrador is done and looks fab. It will be framed this weekend, photographed for the front of the chart pack and then offered up for auction. I understand that Spaniel is also done and will be winging its way back to me soon. Greyhound and Lurcher are with Helen and Sue respectively being stiched up, as it were ;D How are things going on that front? Oh, and Shih Tsu is with Becks for stitching too. Staffie will be finished imminently and will then be sent to Freya (hope your shoulder is better now, Freya!) and Hound will be done, hopefully, by the end of the month and off to Karen. Al, you had said that you have an ideal little picture for Collie... can you email it my way when you next get a chance? For those of you who have received a chart pack for stitching up the sample, perhaps you can let me know here your opinions and sugestions. Did you enjoy the project and is it something that you would like to do for your own dog? And lastly, does anyone else have any suggestions for which other dog breeds to do, bearing in mind they should be popular enough to appeal to lots of people here and on other boards? Collie and Whippet are on my list as is GSD and Westie (naturally ). What else would people like to see? Jane x

I reckon yorkie would be popular. It is one of the dogs we get asked for more than any other.

What type of Spaniel is the existing "Spaniel" one?
I think that Cavalier King Charles Spaniels would be quite poplular, many guardians of the breed seem to collect "anything Cavalier" and often seem keen on needlework too.
If you need any photos to chart from, I have quite a selection!!

If you need any photos to chart from, I have quite a selection!! It's a generalised 'Spaniel' one to catch all variations of 'Spaniel.' You'll get the idea when I post a finished picture of the 'Labrador' sample which is now framed and is just being vanished. The words "Cavalier King Charles Spaniel" would be far too long. How are they usually referred to by lovers of the breed? If there's a shorted version then there's no reason why I cannot adapt the existing chart. Thanks for the offer of the pics of Cavvies to chart. That's certainly an offer that I may take you up on judging by some of the gorgeous pictures I have seen you post Jane x

Thanks Jane, glad you liked the photos. Mostly people shorten it to CAVALIER, although sometimes to CKCS. I think for something like this, Cavalier would be more appropriate. Just let me know about the photos, hubby and I are very keen on {now digital} photography so have quite a few hundred of the doglets <EEK> Poor little mites, they automatically pose every time they see a camera now LOL Really looking forward to seeing the Labrador sample.
