I recently sent off for a bulk quantity of aida fabric that can be used to make up kits or for sale to members wishing to purchase it. In the past when I've sent for aida from this company it has mainly been sent in cream or white. This time they have included also some lemon and black, too! The counts available vary from 14ct to what looks like 18ct or even 22ct - but I'll need to check that when I can find my magnifying glass! I'm having a few problems transferring some of TRPD's old designs from the old PC onto this one, and also updating the design information on the charts. However, if anyone here is interested in volunteering to test stitch a challenging little whippet design on black aida, for this project, please can they let me know and email me their details? This is the design: For anyone who likes a more abstract dog design, I also have this one of a border collie: Sorted out one more from the 'Silhouette' Range - a greyhound that could be stitched either as black on white or white on black Aida fabric... I love that Greyhound one but I have never done cross stitch on tapestries and that was some time ago.

Hi Alison, what size are images & what count aida are they to be stitched on? I've never stitched on black aida before but if they aren't to big I'd be willing to give it a go Karen

Hi Karen, The finished whippet design measures 3 7/8" x 2 3/4" if stitched onto 14 count aida fabric (ideal to make greetings cards with), and the greyhound design, when finished, measures 9 5/8" x 3 5/8" at 14 ct. (That can be stitched as black on white fabric or white on black fabric, and comes facing either left or right, should anyone wish for a pair!) However, I think the black fabric that I have here is probably 18 ct., so the design would work out smaller, obviously, if stitched on that. The collie design I may tackle as a tapestry, but need to check the size as a x-stitch and at the different counts. Al

I'll have a go at the whippet then I'm pretty sure I've got some 14 count black aida here but if not I can get some Not sure I could cope with 18 count as a first attempt on black I'll email you my address

Hi Alison, the charts arrived yesterday and I've made a start on the whippet Thought I'd start the easier one first It's also more gentle on the eye than I suspect the greyhound is going to be I'll probably end up looking like this by the time I'm done Karen

Hi Alison, thought you would like to know the whippet picture is completed I'll get it off in the post for you tomorrow. I'm hoping to make a start on the greyhound next week, when hopefully things won't be so manic as they are at the moment Karen

That's great news, Karen, thanks. If you'd rather wait and send both together, that's fine by me. Things here are still rather chaotic after the PC probs. Al
