I wish I could have done more & known more than I did. My beautiful collie boy who stayed for longer than we had hoped, today made his last car journey. He had his spleen removed 2 weeks ago, they said he was lucky to have survived the op, as he was aneamic-we didn't know part had ruptured. He was only off his food 1/2 day before I took him to the vets. He came through that & for a short time afterwards he bacame a new dog. Fighting hoovers, throwing teddies around the kitchen. We hoped for the best-he was doing so well. Sadly his body started attacking his red blood cells, the growth was malignant-aggressive & already in his system. He was so quiet this morning, he hadn't the strength to stand. How I wish I could have made a difference but I have just had the hardest drive of my life, to give my little tigger the peace he so much deserved. So my beautiful best friend is now running free xxx

Sorry to hear about Glen. He is free from pain and suffering now. Your final drive with Glen was the last kind act you could do for him. You couldn't have done more then that. It is always so painful when we lose a beloved pet. Run Free Glen.

Thankyou for your kind words. It wasn't easy but we had to do what was right for him, I always promised him I'd never let him suffer, or be in pain. Abbey Vets have been fantastic and we had a perfect week before he became ill again. He was my 1st dog and I'd hoped we would have more time together. My other dog is relishing having us all to herself-she has been with us from 5 weeks old. He's left a big gap in our lives but the memories of the years we had together are happy & fun-just how he would have wanted it. Sweet Dreams my bestest friend.xxx
