This is a fundraising dog walk at Ham Hill Country Park, Somerset on Sunday 9th April. It is organised by Greyhound and Lurcher Welfare and Rescue, which is a new organisation set up to help and rehome the greyhounds from the closed Glastonbury Racetrack. At the moment there are 6 dogs in kennels looking for forever homes, and all are needed neutering, dentals, and general medical care. Ham Hill is a beautiful country park, with a neolithic hill fort, standing stones and Roman ruins, and this is intended to be a fun walk where we can meet each other and get out in the fresh air. Dogs of all breeds are welcome! We are meeting outside the Prince of Wales pub at 9.30 a.m. for a 10.00 start. It would lovely to see you there! It is hoped that the dog walks will become a monthly thing, if the support is there.
