A straightforward challenge and with a prize to the value of £25 in goods and for the rescue of ALL WINNERS choices!
All you have to do is to write a 'Letter to the Editor' of ANY MAGAZINE OR NEWSPAPER, have that published in their 'Letters to the Editor' page and send proof or have it verified by other members.
Your letter will need to tell them and their readers about the TRPD-Pet Craft Project forum and what the members here do to aid the work of the animal rescues.
It could be that limiting things to dog/pet mags is a bit too narrow. What about the 'Silver Surfers' in publications such as the 'Olden Times' or Saga Magazine? Many of them have pets they may wish to buy items for to support rescue-work at the same time and have spare time on their hands to join in with our activities, too?
Possibly a brief, attention grabbing letter or email to the less than obvious 'lifestyle' magazines might attract attention of pet owners there who wouldn't necessarily read a dog magazine - but who do care about the plight of rescues?
It isn't simply about pointing people here, but carrying the message and gaining a greater support for the rescues as a whole that is important. If it did no more that encourage a handful of people to pop some tins of pet feed into the bins at a rescue's collection point in their local supermarket it all helps!
What is more, most magazines and newspapers offer a cash sum to those writers who send in letters to their editors and have them published, too.
Please post below if you have a go at this, and give the names of magazines/newspapers that you have sent letters to. And don't forget to say if your letters are being accepted for publication, too.
