Jutta we would have loved to have you in our team but Jacks changed it to two people per team now, or is two a minimum Al, if it is just two, Bullies in Need and The Oldies still need another member each

Jack said we can see how it goes with 2 players per team, Selina. Ideally we could do with a couple more teams, too, so perhaps you can all try recruiting a couple more on Sunday during the regular quiz chat? Al

All you need to do is to email the answers to the quiz before MIDNIGHT on the day they are posted and to Jack at: writers@trpd.freeserve.co.ukThe following day when the next set of questions are posted there will be a list of which teams are still eligible to enter and that haven't been knocked out. To get you off to a good start (and because I am shattered tonight and have a busy day ahead tomorrow) I will post Jack's first set of questions early. All you need to do is to email the answers to the quiz before MIDNIGHT on the day they are posted and to Jack at: writers@trpd.freeserve.co.ukSorry Al, but do we need to send the answers to 2 places as you`ve put "and to Jack...."? Can we add a third member to SOL B? It will be Anneski

Just send them to Jack at the above email address, Wendy. If he can't actually make it here he can access the server to do the marking. If you add a 3rd team member, only the first two emails received will count towards the scores and unless/until all teams also have three members... Unless, of course, your two spare members might like to team up and represent another 'hound' cause such as Houndsavers or something? Al

Knockout Quiz for Rescues
Answers for Monday’s Quiz:
1. The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust. 2. Any three of: Feed the ducks, geese and swans; have a kids tour of Castle Espie grounds; play environmental games; see a slide show or video; eat party food; make a duck hat; receive a complimentary ticket for each child for a return visit. 3. 2,927ft (893m) 4. Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli.) 5. 2 – 3 years, although they can live up to 10 years. 6. No, porcupines are rodents; hedgehog relatives include shrews and moles. 7. No, the disease is confined to rabbits. 8. Differences include the hare having large staring yellow eyes, reddish-brown grizzled fur and black tips to the ears of hares. Hares are bigger than rabbits. They are also born with a full coat of fur, while rabbits are born hairless and blind. Rabbits live underground in burrows, while hares like to hide in long grass. Rabbits prefer to live in groups, while hares are more solitary.
9. Healthy females can produce one litter of 3-7 young per month during the breeding season, which is from January to August.
10. The first British record of a rabbit dying of the disease came in 1952 and within 2 years 99% of the population had died, although it was recorded in South America as early as 1896.
After 3 teams tied for bottom postition, I have decided to be generous and allow ALL teams to be eligible for the next round. These are the positions in which the teams were placed in the first round:

Dave, seeing the first 3 teams... I'm convinced they got there because of the DOGS belonging to those teams!!! One just has to take an interest in wildfowl and rabbits/hares with those floppy eared, BIG nosed doglets!
