A competition to illustrate a booklet to raise money for TRPD to provide Rescues with what they need. The more that is raised the more dogs we can help. This winter we provided nice warm coats for the Coldies and Oldies and many dogs benefited from this. We now have the "I want a home" webbing to provide collars, leads and harnesses for rescues. You don't need to be able to draw for this competion because the illustrations will be line drawings then if anyone wants to colour them in, they will be able to. There will be a different story each week instead of putting them all up at once and there are 12 prizes up to date to go to each winners favourite rescue and hopefully we can get more. Each illustration will have it's own closing date, 2 weeks after the start of that competition, the date will be put up. The first story is "The Devil's Advocate" You will find this here: petcraftproject.proboards24.com/index.cgi?board=coffeebreak&action=display&thread=1085682536 This is the only time you will get the full story. When your illustration is completed please email a copy to both ari@trpd.co.uk and dogcraftproject@trpd.freeserve.co.uk. By emailing to 2 people, there is less chance of an illustration being lost. The closing date is Saturday, 27th May, 2006 at 8pm. Good luck everyone.

This week's story is "Some Mothers". We all remember what it was like when we were in trouble as children and we didn't understand why, this is one child's view of this.
This is a couple of paragraphs of the story:
‘I am grounded! Grounded until I learn to behave. What have I done? Well, I haven’t stolen anything – except Mom’s peace of mind. Neither have I murdered or assaulted anyone – unless with honesty – nor accidentally (on purpose) lost Mom during a shopping trip. Not this time, anyway. I haven’t stayed out late without permission or been caught kissing my boyfriend in the barn – yet; and neither have I been bossy towards, or threatened to kill, my little brother recently. I stay out of his way just in case temptation proves impossible to resist since getting the blame when he scoffed a whole cheesecake that Mom had in the fridge.
I haven’t jumped my pony over the locked field gate and gone off riding up on the mountain alone; or poured a bottle of Gran’s home-made wine into his feed to see if he’d jump higher or race faster on it – not for over three years now. And I gave up brewing hooch in the pigsty when a bottle blew up in my twin brother’s hands and I was scared he’d bleed to death.’
When your illustration is completed please email a copy to both ari@trpd.co.uk and dogcraftproject@trpd.freeserve.co.uk. By emailing to 2 people, there is less chance of an illustration being lost.
The closing date is Saturday, 27th May, 2006 at 8pm

As there have been no pictures sent in for this competion, I am going to change it. It will be a Wildcats v Wolves competion as soon as I can get it sorted.
There won't be much time because I would like to see this booklet ready for Christmas so they can be Christmas presents.

I have started to put the stories up petcraftproject.proboards24.com/index.cgi?board=pcpwriters The idea is to provide photographs for a booklet and every photograph used, a prize will go to the winner's named rescue. At the end, the team with the most pictures will get an extra prize to go to their named rescue. The photographs are to illustrate the stories in the booklet, the first story is The Devil's Advocate which you will find here: petcraftproject.proboards24.com/index.cgi?board=coffeebreak&action=display&thread=1085682536 This is the only time you will get the full story. You can have pretty pictures, funny pictures or any other type of pictures as long as they are suitable for children to see . The can be both/either humans or animals, normal (if that is possible) or dressed up. The idea is to have pictures that relate to the stories. You can beg borrow or steal other people or animals for your pictures. Each story will have it's own thread so that they cannot be mixed up, you know how addled both Al and I get, we need things very simple ;D The closing date for all the stories will be 1st August so you have 8 weeks to get your pictures in, and I will get the stories up as quickly as I can. Get clicking and have some fun
