Sorry didn't know where to put this so I'm shoving it in here, if it's wrong then please feel free to move it or blow it up. I've applied for a stall at our local Gala day. What I want to do is promote small rescues and places like trpd ( only with their permission ). A friend who is involved with Gal is going to help and I'm hoping other small rescues will either send someone or I can put some information out about them. At the moment I'm paying for everything and depending on how much I have to fork out I might need to get something back. I'm going to make dog toys, raggers and squeaky toys at the moment. I think they will cost about 50p to make and if I charge £1 for them either all the money or the profit will go to rescue. What I don't have a clue about is cat toys, does anybody have pictures of cat toys and instructions on how to make them ( simple ones please ). I'm also hoping to make a small cookery book type thingie so if you have any recipes I can use they would be welcome, it will just be something I hope to make on the computer so nothing fancy. Picture of ragger I made earlier which at the moment my two love. . This is still in the early planning stages so things can change ( I still need to be told I have a stall ), I've never done anything like this before so any help will be appreciated. Terri

Well done on helping rescues The ragger toy looks great Some really quick and easy cat toys you can make are fleece knots. Just take a scrap of fleece (a long, thin piece) , put a big pinch of cat nip in the middle. Then carefully fold it in length-ways so the catnip is concealed inside. Then, making sure no catnip escapes, tie the fleece in a knot so that the pinch of catnip is in the centre. They look like this: You can also sew mouse shape toys, stuffed with either toy filling or fleece off-cuts and put a big pinch of catnip in them. You can also make catnip pillows by sewing two fleece squares togther and filling with fleece off-cuts or toy filling and a generous amount of catnip. Good luck

Brilliant ideas, thank you . I did try and make a fleece goldfish last year but it looked more like Moby Dick so I gave up. Thanks to you I'm thinking I could sew the catnip into muslin squares then put them into small bags that are closed with Velcro, the catnip can then be replaced as and when it needs to be. Terri
