Yeah just need to know his neck size, I'd of thought 14in or 16in? Just to tempt you .. Green & gold decorative Black and Gold Elephant (also comes in red which is lovely!) Rainbow ;D You've also got the plain comfort webbing that comes in lots of different colours too. Most of the collars can be made from any of these trimmings, subject to availability of course!

this is my problem, normal collars and half check come straight off him as he shoots backwards. Do you think a harness would work?

Okay...just read your first post properly and now I understand!!! (Shouldn't scan!!) Al does a brill escape proof harness! Sidney is the same he gets out of everything, even 'normal' harnesses!! You can just see it has an extra strap on the belly that stops them pulling forward. I'll have to ask Al to tell you how to measure for it but could be the answer?

For an escape proof harness, I need the following measurements: 1. Circumference of the base of the neck. 2. Circumference of the chest at its deepest point. 3. Circumference of the waist at it's narrowest point. 4. The length from the base of the neck to the point on the back/spine above the narrowest part of the waist. These harnesses are designed along the lines of an extended trail harness. The waist strap fits behind the ribcage and will only act against that if the dog attempts to pull backwards as a means to slip its harness. Usually they try, realise it is pointless, and then give up trying. I have a little horror of a dog here who could slip out of anything, and she inspired the design. She has never managed to get out of one of these harnesses, however, they aren't suitable for a dog whose belly is bigger than its chest!

What size would you like, please? There are lots here in the pink and a few in the purple comfort webbing. Plenty of pink comfort webbing in stock too, so if we don't have the size you want made up, it isn't a problem in that colour, although we are out of stock of the purple now, Hayley.

Snoopy's neck is about 12inches round - she is a smallish Border Collie.
Thanks for the quick reply.

So shall I make up a 13"/14" one to allow for a bit of adjustment in case she puts on weight?

They will adjust quite a bit smaller, but not much larger than the size stated, so it should be fine. 3/4" wide sets are £7.00p and 1" wide sets are £7.50p. Details for payments are in any of the main sales threads.

Oh I like an idea of a personal shopper Where can I find a trail harness in black comfort webbing? I have measured my oldest lad around his chest (behind his legs at the widest point) and he is 31 inches. If you can find one how much are they, as when I have one I can try it out on my girl as well, as she is the same size as him (and then order one in blue too if she likes it) ;D Shel (PS do I need to measure around the base of the neck as well, or is just the chest fine, I'm new to this!)

I can make one up for you, if required. To fit up to 32" chest, the harness on its own is: £9.50p or £13.00p with a matching, standard length lead and £16.49p for the harness, lead and matching collar set. For the latter I will also need to know the dog's neck size too, please. Thanks.
