Why is that the gypsies are always blamed? Unlikely after such a long time. It is more likely some proud owner of a new puppy bought from a filthy puppy farm has spread the infection. Gypsy sites tend to have fleas and mange but rarely parvo or kennel cough. Parvo runs riot in places where there are lots of dogs cooped up in unhealthy conditions - like Dog Pounds.

well i'm waiting to hear back from my neighbour. her dog died and she is waiting for the results of the blood test back as the vet thinks it was distemper!!

distemper has a very distinct smell, once smelt you never forget it.
