Happy my Dutch Rabbit is going outside today for summer after he has been vaccinated for Myxomatosis today. I am now unsure he should be vaccinated against Viral Haemmorhagic Disease & also whether I should get him microchipped too. Am I being paranoid & going over the top

Probably best to seek advice from your vet, Hannah. Rabbits do have a habit of escaping, though.

I have Rudy vaccinated for both as having read up on VHD it is a horrible disease. I havent got him microchipped as hes never out unsupervised and otherwise lives in the house. Wouldnt hurt your bun to have it done though and there us always that safetynet that if the bunny did get out a vet or rescue could scan. Its becoming more popular to have rabbits and ferrets microchipped. Hope that helps ;D
