More news from Gables. They are down to one long termer now, a beautiful collie called Jenny. Good News for our Long Term Dogs for - 2007 The months of July and August have been great for three of our sponsor dogs. The 8th July saw Winston going to his new home, Winston had been at Gables Farm since June 2003 but we never gave up hoping that he would find caring owners who would take him on knowing his few faults. Nine days later it was Forts' turn to jump into a car and leave us, Fort had been here since February 2002. Today on the 6th August Indy has very happily left us to go to a new life, Indy has been here since December 2001. We have regular updates and photos of Winston and Fort (who is now called Jake) and they are having great times, we look forward to updates on Indy. Everyone who sponsored Winston, Fort or Indy will soon be getting a letter informing them of the good news. The last of the long termers
Jenny[/size] Aged approx 11-12 years, Jenny came to Gables in July 1997 and has never been re-homed. She loves to play with toys and would be quite happy just chasing a ball around the garden. She would be best in a home with one or two adults who have experience with dogs. She is house-trained. Jenny is taken out regularly with the same dog walker who she adores especially when she knows there is a pocket of treats not far away. Seeing that Jenny has had a life of standing in a pen in all weathers wondering if someone is going to choose her she is remarkably healthy. A couple of years ago she had to have her beautiful tail amputated because of an infection but apart from that she really only sees the vet for her yearly vaccination.

More Good News. We got a letter this morning to say our sponsor dog Jenny had finally found a forever home after 11 years at Gables. The letter said they wondered how she would settle after being at Gables so long and after several weeks in her new home has settled better than anyone could have hoped, even making new doggy friends. Good luck Jenny in your new home

I might take the hell hound along, depending on how far behind I am with my studies. Look out for a brindle bully, I might be on the end of it's lead
