I'm really worried about my Dutch Rabbit, Happy he was acting very strange (not wanting to see me & he rolled once) when I fed him this evening, & since I have put his food down he hasn't come out of his toilet area nor has he touched his food. I'm going to take him to the vets tommorow. Should I worried or am I over-reacting. Any info. is much appreciated.

Its important that rabbits keep on eating or they can develop GI statis so no i dont think you're over reacting. If he appears lethargic check if he is dehydrated, this can be done by pullnig up the scruff and seeing if it quickly returns to normal.
Ive been to the emergency vets with Rudy before now as I was worried there was something seriously wrong. Its better to be safe than sorry.
Hugs for you and Happy.

I agree with Amyjo , no way are you over reacting. Ive had Rabbits for years and they can go down hill very quickly in my experience . So if your rabbit has lost his appitite I would get to the Vet as soon as you can , better safe than sorry . Hope Happy is feeling better soon xxxx

Took him to the vets & she reckoned that he must have been having an off day. She suggested that I worm him & I have got to worm for the next 9 days. Hes not going to like that Will start with that from tommorow. I felt really silly taking him to the vets, because he was alot brighter & not much wrong with him, apart from he didn't to come out of the pet carrier & was being mardy & stamping his feet - embrassing when the vet had to eventually remove him for the pet carrier for me. Thankyou both

Thats brilliant news Its always better safe than sorry if they are unwell, even if they seem better so you did the right thing I hope he doesnt get to mardy when you are worming him

Good to here hes ok I once took Rudy to the vets as I though he had a nasty cut on his bits. Turned out that he just needed a wash and that rabbit urine can be v dark almost a red colour. It was the emergency vets on a Saturday and she was so nice she didnt charge me.
